He better be talking about Oregon in Dallas.

Been reported by Oregon fans to be a strong possibility for over a month. It would definitely be a headliner and a great matchup

If u can't fully support this team on opening game week, frick u!

I'm taking it as Miles does such a great job this year and destroy's teams and programs that Jerry Jones pays him 7,500,000.00 to coach the Cowboys. Then we have to hire another coach. Although Patterson wouldn't be my selection.

sorry, but I"m not a big fan of these blockbuster openers. I like playing a directional school first, work out some kinks, then playing a game like this. Learned my lesson after 2002 and VT.

We opened 05 against Arizona, 07 against MSU, last year against Washington and won all those. Let's play big boy football.

if the other top teams have at least 3 cupcake games, they have a better shot @ BCS.

Beating cupcakes doesn't give you better BCS chances.

Texas starting the season against Rice @ Reliant Stadium comes to mind.

And if UT plays poorly it will hurt them.

I guess Coach Brown wants to make sure he gets a good win in the city of Houston to help with recruiting...

And pounding Rice won't impress anyone.

Completely different. First off, LSU has huge alumni/fan base in Texas. Second, LSU has kinda overdone Atlanta lately. I have a friend in TAF and he said people are sick of going to Atlanta. Dallas would be a new location plus the lure of Jerry's Palace. Plus I think LSU surprises people this year and positions itself well for next year.

I think you'd see a huge level of people traveling to the game (ala the Washington game) plus a huge local fanbase. It'd be packed.

if it is a Jerry world game yall better get ready for $200 plus per ticket.

I looked into tickets for TCU vs OSU there Sept 4th and they were all over 200 except the nosebleed sections and that didnt include the 20 dollar parking fee, no tailgaiting rule, and 12 dollar beer.

Okay, first of all, it was funny. Just because you didn't think so doesn't invalidate the humor. Although you do make it unpleasant to be on the board, if that's any consolation to you.

Second, try and follow me here, genius, but if you acknowledge that it was at least an attempt at humor, then presumably you could understand that it was not serious, and therefore not indicative of a "lack of support" for the team.

Of course, that would be logical, which means I'm probably expecting too much from you.

When did people get so damned sensitive on this board? shite, you can't say anything anymore without the negatiger nazis pouncing on you for "not supporting the team." this is why I rarely visit the Rant.

Speaking of Death Valley, we recently launched a fund-raising program to replace the broken and deteriorating windows that surround Tiger Stadium. We are starting with the north end of the stadium and hope to have some windows replaced by the home opener. Tiger Stadium is one of the world's great sports venues and it's up to us to take care of it for future generations.

Most positive thin I heard in years. Haven't been on campus since last year other than to the baseball games and didn't notice the windows being replaced. I believe they looked like that when i was in school in 1983!
