Who would we target in the event Alleva bails for Penn State?
I think a lot of people would want Radakovich back.

Yep, or maybe an internal promotion for someone like Herb Vincent.

I'd be happy for Rad to come back but would he?

I'd imagine most anyone out there would jump at the opportunity to run LSU's Athletic Department.

If I remember correctly, the general consensus was that he really wanted the AD spot.

I think he's done a great job of representing LSU and improving athletic facilities. It took him a couple tries but I think he definitely hired the right basketball coach. Also impressed with Torina and Caldwell.

Alleva is very well respected nationally and if Penn State really does have interest in him, that only further shows that point. A lot of people had their minds made up on him before he ever got here but I think he's been a great AD.

The Board of Supervisors may try to give him a raise to keep him. He's obviously respected on the academic side as well seeing as he also serves as vice-chancellor.

Im 50-50 on Joe A, but if he leaves, bring on Verge, paid his dues, LSU guy, smart man, great image (half the job) and understands athletes (he is one), business side (been doing it for 15+ years) and TAF (worked there) and LA (from here)...
Alos know Verge has been clear about all sports winning, he will press all coaches to have solid programs and he is a football guy and we are a football AD..all works to me

I think a lot of people associate him with the degradation of the gamdeday experience at Tiger Stadium, including the pay for parking and catastrophic traffic jams. I'm not saying those things are directly his fault, just that there's a natural association there.

I like Dan R, but please note the issues GT had when he left (and rightfully or not they blame him), Dan is a money guy (was at LSU) and we need that skill, but do question after reading a lot about his time at GT....still that may all be bs, still a Verge guy, but if Dan is clean that would be fine too, or Herb

Not saying if Joe left, we don't look for someone one in the LSU family but doing so makes me think we are going the good ole boy route again. Not saying Verge or Herb is a good ole boy but I think we should at least look outside the purple and gold gates to see if there is a candidate that might be the right guy for the job. Bring in fresh ideas to LSU.

I just wonder if any university likes their athletic director. Seems like everyone hates theirs and they're just a magnet for criticism. It is just a thankless position.
