A direct inference that this should occur at the end of the season yet...

I'm talking about Crowton's history with QBs.

Do you know what Gonzales' contribution towards QB deveopment is? I'm a little confused by his "passing game coordinator" title. I'm hoping it is to help develop the QBs and not just a receivers coach. If that is the case, I think we may be inbetter shape here than in the past.

It's simply a prediction. Again, I hope our offense is greatly improved on the whole.

Understood. Please excuse my extreme Posi-Tiger responses. I find it a little difficult to look forward to the upcoming season with all these negative waves...

Very little, if any.

As is everyone.

Well, then Miles should have hired a QB coach.

I don't think Gonzales has ever coached QBs

With Hebert off the starting line and Hilt gone, I feel much better about the offensive line. Those two played terrible last year.

The opposing defenses will again play heavy against the run and force LSU to pass. JJ will be foreced to be successful in the passing game if the LSU running game is going to be successful.

Didn't happen last year.

It's actually the exact opposite of what you said. LSU has to be able to run the ball to improve on offense. Our rushing game last season was one of the worst in the NCAA. Teams schemed to stop the passing game.

I want to give you some e-credit.
As Ive said 100 times you are by far the most arrogant "know it all"poster on this board.

So answer honestly...Are you connected to this football team in a way other than just being a fan? ie. parent/assist/sibling/player/GA??
You dont have to specify.

B/c if you arent, how would you know BG's contribtion towards qb develp after a bowl game, spring and summer/fall camp?
Not to mention they countless other threads and posts you make on this board.

Well, Gonzo being the 'passing coordinator' means that he is involved with the QBs in one way or another. I think we'll see a more simple offensive passing attack.. a more efficient one.

you said we should move on.

You dont mention that fact that we had two green qbs.

You assume that things wont be better this year, b/c thats what GC does.

Now there, is that better?
And Im stupid?

Let this season play out. gees.

Serioulsy WTF does he keep saying this for?

This is like the government, they drop hints here and there and say bad stuff so when it does happen its less of a shock.

All I've been hearing are little hints here and there about it being "ok" to make mistakes and how we should expect more interceptions or "mistakes" from JJ because they are opening up the playbook and have more confidence in him.

Why is all this "its ok for me to make mistakes" bs being said?

The most glaring part of that video is how pathetically our OL performed.

Ridley and Co. were getting hammered at the LOS or behind it nearly every single running play.

I definitely don't know it all. I just try to take everything said with a grain of salt. Sports fans tend to regurgitate other peoples opinions and quotes as facts without every looking into them. A perfect example is the whole "stacking the box" thing from last year. You would have journalist, who didn't watch a complete LSU game all year, say this because of LSU's history of being a running team, a returning All-SEC back, and a young QB. But when you go back and actually watch the way defenses played against us last year, it's the exact opposite.

So, I don't pretend to "know it all;" I don't know it all for sure. I just try to shed some light on some common myths that fans hold.

Nope.

I don't know whether Gonzales has aided in QB development or not. I do know that he has never coached QBs prior to his arrival at LSU. He has been a WRs coach under Meyer since 2001. He coached RBs his first year at Kent State before switching to WRs coach.

So based on his coaching history, I would doubt that he plays a big role in coaching QBs.

It means he's not so afraid of making a mistake that he instead locks up and doesn't produce. Not that hard to figure out.
