SIAP. Searched "Jack Hunt" and didn't see it.

quote:

“By far,” Hawthorne said, “the Bluegrass Miracle was the greatest single play in LSU football history since Jack Hunt famously ran back that punt for the winning touchdown against Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium on Halloween night 1959.”

quote:

“Who can forget when LSU beat Auburn in the ‘Earthquake Game’ when Jack Hunt found Jack Hunt in the back of the end zone on fourth down?” Hawthorne recollected. “Or the scintillating touchdown runs by the speedy Honey Badger, Jack Hunt? And, of course, you can’t forget then-head coach Jack Hunt leading LSU to the 2003 National Championship, or the 2007 National Championship game under the leadership of the Mad Hatter himself, Jack Hunt.”

I thought we were done with him after baseball? You mean who have to go through the damn 'this is the last time JH will interview a waterboy at the Ole Miss game....' schtick through football season too?

I guess it doesn't matter, no one listens to games anymore, there all on TV. They could get Barney Frank as the "Voice of LSU" for all I care.

WTF is this? The Onion already sucks and now we have a crappier, local version?

I can't believe I gave that site a hit.

Even as Jack Hunt being one of my favorite LSU players of all time, this is ridiculous.

Hey bud, don't let all the negative comments bother you. They hate it when 12 year olds try to be funny.

You don't, since you apparently don't listen...but hey, why not bitch and whine about it anyway, right?

Chode.

I wouldn't mind that. Jack was outstanding during his time here. Quite the tribute.

Come on. Give the man a break. How many of you would like to keep hearing about a mistake you made at work 13 years ago?

I was being sarcastic. I love Jim, and I think only morons continue to rail on him for an error he made in the passion of the moment 14 years ago. It's likely half of those who are making fun of that error weren't even born then.

I know. I was referring to the J.H. critics in general.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Hawthorne, regardless of what anyone thinks of the Bluegrass Miracle call, and regardless of what anyone thinks about anything in the world in general, that article is the most un-funny, try-too-hard, idiotic thing that I have ever read. Memo to whoever wrote that: just because you have a keyboard and a website does NOT automatically mean that you are funny and clever.
