I'm thinking we'll see "J Hill Nissan" opening up in the Baton Rouge area sometime in the next 5 years.

A young 20 something guy lands a million dollar contract and buys/leases an expensive ride...color me shocked!

Anyway, you are probably right about it being leased.

Now, THAT would be stupid.

A car is a depreciating asset. Some people are dumb, buy a house or invest it in the market.

Well it's likely true

It really is funny how often it's true. I don't get it.

Maybe, but millions lost millions on both a few years ago and have yet to regain their losses.

Life is a gamble, spend on what you enjoy and let the haters hate.

Most don't and some age just hit them the wrong way; no time to recover. I agree that an expensive car is not the soundest investment but there are worse things.

Money board...im sure you would make extremely wise decisions if someone guaranteed you 1.6 mil at 21 years old.

I worked two jobs for 6 years to pay my way through LSU. Took a while but finished without any loans, i struggled, lived in shitty apartments, ate shitty food. A lot of us made sacrifices

After this you still don't see how this was a stupid purchase?! You have done all of the above in vain, because you still the understand the value of a dollar. Doesn't Hill have a child that money would have been better spent on setting up a college fund for his kids as opposed to buying a six figure car.

You bumped this thread just to post something that's been posted 100 times in this thread? I still don't understand why some of you are worrying about this man's pockets. He can go out and buy an elephant on skates to ride around on and still wouldn't care about how he spent his money.

over the long term both the stock and housing market will pay off the investment and then some. Life is not a gamble, that's the whole point.
