I'll be the 1st to say it. WE HEARD THE EXACT SAME shite LAST YEAR!!! Until he proves that he can deliver on gamedays consistently I'm with the others that he should just keep his mouth shut.

And JL in some pretty clutch situations, in multiple games!

And about 60 other contributors. Yeah, but lets give all the credit to one or two. F'kin tards.

And then, with everybody watching, he went 4-14 versus the 2's. And wins an award.

A mature response that a Senior QB should deliver should be more along the lines of "As of right now I'm in the starting role and all signs point to me being the started come day 1" this would be mature, humble and show that he doesn't think he is untouchable, rather he basically says "Yeah theres nothing that can happen or either one of them can do, I'm starting"

JJ is taking command. It started last season at Bama, when Lee reps started to decline. JJ is sending a message. I'm the quarterback. This is my team. There is no quarterback controversy. I love it. He's putting this team on his back. I expect a huge year out of JJ. His work ethic on the field this spring has turned heads, and it sounds like he has matured to step into his role as a leader.

If this cat was anywhere near as good as he thinks he is LSU would be unbeatable.

I find it disturbing... maybe because I'm not around too many LSU fans, but I never would have thought LSU fans would react like this to a statement by their own starting QB saying, "I'm the starting QB."

Funny a leader wouldnt have to put out quotes that he was the starter no matter what. He would let his play take care of that. But alas with JJ I guess he has to get quoted because his play wont help his cause. Of course a leader would also produce on a consistent basis.

I saw Jefferson the other day in his white car...couldn't even park straight. My expectations are low.

So far I havent seen or heard Mett doing any talking or tweeting. I would like a qb who can produce on the field first. If he is going to talk off the field you would think he would produce first!
Humility is a long lost virtue on the football field, sad to say.

from another thread

Turner is already getting work at the position. While the coaches can't schedule mandatory workouts during this point in the offseason, the offensive and defensive captains set up the one-on-one and seven-on-seven workouts each afternoon. LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson calls the offense's plays and schedules meetings for his team.

let it all out. Theres a process every man has to go through. This is his. He's becoming the player we need him to be. Sit back and enjoy this ride my friend. JJ will lead LSU to our 3rd BCSNC
