Your clueless. Tulane wanted NOTHING to do with Ray after he got charged. Immediately canceled his scholarship...didn't even let him preach his side of the story first. Tulane eventually let him go to class and graduate but they totally distanced themselves from him

and again....what does "LSU will forfeit the scholly" mean?

Hey ...Strong Safety(weak mind)....
You're obviously an LSU hater more than you are a greenie fan.
If you knew the facts, you would be applauding coach Miles.

Some thugs beat the frick out of his family. He was a tulane honor student, and had no previous incidents at all. Didn't help that the jury was all white
Translation: Someone bitch-slapped his date / sister / girlfriend, anyone can be a Tulane honor student, he hadn’t been caught before and all his other convictions were when he was a juvenile, and the jury was nothing but honkies who wanted to fry a God fearing black man.

Translation: (a Tulane graduate does not understand the correct usage of “your”) Tulane knew he was guilty as sin and dropped him like a bad habit, and Tulane’s attorneys, or Jessie Jackson said that you had better let the brother graduate or I’ll cut your balls off.
Please don’t go away, you are a funnier than a bucket load of spastic monkeys in a taffy pulling contest.
PS: And he proudly displays his Tulane diploma.

Jarvis Jones had the potential to be an all american and he was only a sophmore! He was very important to the future and maybe the present of LSU football.
He is and apparently was....a zero. No team needs zeroes on it. No team should tolerate them. The poor attitude they display can rub off. Better to rid yourself of them before they hurt the team. NOBODY is more important than the team, NOBODY.

Unless the kid raped someone, sold dope, or fought one of the coaches, I dont see how anything he did was worse than what RP did because of the track record
Look sonnyboy. When things like this are handled "internally" it means that a players leadership group, usually a number of upperclassmen, has decided that Jones or RP should no longer be on the team. Then Miles steps in and evaluates the decision. So, this bs about "hurting the team" is just that bullfreakinshit.

At a casino it is.
No, sonnyboy, it is not. At least look something up before you make yourself look like a fool.

Here it is simply put. He is dumb to lose such a free ride and opportunity... dumb to have been warned and still did it... dumb to have had a bad attitude... and dumbest if he had got kicked off of the team and really did nothing do anything super bad (as some were implicating.)

Showing favoritism isnt a great way to win over players.
I concur, but Ryan11 was your immediate future as a QB, and with the last straw, les had to pull the plug. He realized that it was creating a rift between the players.
and I agree about the favortism thing. One player shouldnt be more important than another.

If what I heard the reason he was booted is true, then he is lucky that the only thing he lost is a scholarship.

Being that all I know is he was kicked off the Team doesnt tell me exactly what he did or does it really matter. He obviosly did something to be removed in way of team rules or even NCAA rules. Most LSU fans where really tired of the RP situation and was glad when he was removed from the Team because of all the side attractions it caused. Hopefully Ryan and now Jarvis get their acts together and realize just how crazy they have been for blowing such a great oppertunity to show case their Talents at LSU pretty much on National Tv.

That's right. This kid was the heir apparent to Ciron Black at LT in 2009 (assuming that Black leaves early). I guarantee you that Les Miles did not want to have to dismiss JJ. The only thing I can think is that, whatever the kid did, it must've been pretty serious. Big, athletic LT's don't just grow on trees.

It was his cousin, and they had been chased on bourbon street by these goons. He has a clean record; first incident with the police.
