Yet this kid has an incident, maybe 2, and gets the boot? Les is a great coach that treats all his players the same..sike he's quick to give the boot to those that are expendable, but slow to give the boot to those he needs. Great teacher, leader, and motivator

In defenses of Coach Miles I don't think this is any different than anywhere else. It opens scholarships up and in today's world of limitations you have to do what you have to do.

Kid shouldn't have fricked up if he wanted to play football.

So Mr Truth, you are just now figure out better players at important positions get preferential treatment?

Also Mr "Truth", you have no fricking idea what or how many offense's this kid committed. Just because something doesn't make the news doesn't mean it didn't happen.

i agree. i'm just responding to this so everyone can read it again and maybe some people might learn something.

Maybe this kid had multiple incidents, they just weren't made public like Perrilloux's.

Obviously, attempts were made to "cover up" RPs final indiscretion(s) by saying he was suspended for missing team meetings. So, what makes you think the same didn't happen here?

Don't be so quick to judge unless and until you know ALL of the facts, which you clearly don't.

Les Miles favors players that do what they are supposed to do. Jarvis Jones did something stupid and now he is gone. Same with RP. Being part of the LSU football team is an honor and not something to be taken for granted. If a player doesnt realize and respect this then they have to go.

The N.O. Times Picayune's article said that LSU will "forfeit" JJ's scholarship. Anyone know about that and/or the reason for it?

Unless you know what the "one incident" was, your comments are out of line. Also there may have been previous incidents that were not made public. He may be an idiot in the locker room, can't get along with teammates or coaches, does not conform to rules. Only Les and the staff knows.

I support Les. he knows a hell of a lot more than any of us about the situation.

This thread blows, even for you SS. I can't believe I'm saying this, but carry your arse back to the MSB. There are too many Rantards here already without an MSBasTard flaming.

thats true, but every piece to the puzzle is important. Showing favoritism isnt a great way to win over players.

How do you know favoritism was shown? You have no facts to support your claim.

I thought Les Miles made it abundantly clear in the press conf at the SECCG:

Les Miles IS the head coach of the LSU football team. I don't think he even needs a reason to kick someone off. It is HIS team.

Poor Tulame fans. Guess there isn't much going on with their football program so they live vicariously through LSU's. Kinda pitiful don't you think?

This thread is stupid, Miles is there to build a winning program and if hes got trouble makers on the team I don't care what happens to them as long as the problem gets fixed. I don't care if they do things that we all never know about, as long as they understand the potential outcome of their behavior and that they can become a better individual and football player. Nobody is perfect and to get on Miles' arse for something we don't even know about is stupid. Anyway, I wish Jarvis the best and the coach has the final say and for whatever he did I hope he learns from it and it can help him out later on in life.
