The exact opposite of what we need.

@TDR_sports: #LSU's guard Jalyn Patterson and center Elbert Robinson III will not play tonight vs. #SouthCarolina, according to SID @lsukent

that's not good. Hope Epps can give some minutes at the three so Quarterman can run point.

Meh... I love Jalyn's game and his absence will be felt. But this coupled with Elbert not playing isn't exactly a death knell. Robinson doesn't even play really.

Why is Elbert Robinson not playing news worthy? He doesn't play anyways.

It sucks about Patterson but if Gray steps up we'll be fine. There won't be much rest for the starters tonight. Gotta stay out of foul trouble.

I wonder if it's injury or if they are in trouble. Patterson was suspended a few games in high school for something, I don't think the coach ever came out with the reason why.

Jalyn Patterson

GIves us quality minutes, points, and rarely turns the ball over. He will be missed tonight. TQ is going to have to step up and cough...you know who MUST play well and give us 35 minutes, 15 points, 5 assists, and fewer than 5 turnovers.

Shortess? Because he might have a chance.

Gray has to earn Jones and the team trust back tonight. He hesitates too much instead of just running the offense and going with the game flow. If he just sets up his teammates and not force anything his shot will be there for him

Thankfully, South Carolina is the opponent, hope LSU doesn't stub its toe at home because of Gray's very shaky ball handling.

Even though Robinson is not ready, it's unfortunate that a 7-footer who could develop is given virtually no playing time. This team has very little depth on the front line and some of that may be because since the early games, the starters all seem to play 40 plus minutes.

@TreyMongrue: Jalyn Patterson not dressed out tonight due to minor injury. Pretty big blow for an #LSU team with thin bench.

Big loss. It's time for Gray to have his best game. IMO, with Gray having to play more, JJ should let Q run the offense down the stretch. Maybe, Gray will perform better as the #2.
