Damn I didn't even know that. Thought he was still on the team. Thanks for the update.

Son of a.. It's a bigger loss than people seem to be making it out to be.
Yes it is...this means we also lose our starting nickel CB, too

I broke my fibula in high school against The gay birds 5th game of season and was a back for first game of playoffs he'll be back and just fine good thing it happened now rather than during the season , now younger guys get more reps and opportunity

LSU fans with optimism
We'll be okay at safety, but I am concerned about that nickel position.

Because every fracture is exactly the same. Good to know.

They are all doom and gloom on Finebaum. Talking like LSU will be lucky to beat Syracuse.

Tough break. Really even moreso for him than the team. This was a big year for him as some considered him one of the top FS eligible for the draft. Hate to see it happen, but if there is one position at which LSU could afford an injury, it's safety

He's out for 2 maybe 3 games. At the very beginning of the season. His draft stock is absolutely fine.

Bigger blow than some people are thinking, but the experience and talent of Jefferson definitely softens it! This could play out well down the stretch if we make it through the first few weeks alive

Rickey Jefferson, Ed Paris, D. Thomas can all provide what Mills brings physically and maybe even more. Biggest loss is the swagger and experience.

K. Beckwith is a second Quarterback of the defense. Hope everyone lives up to their potential until he's back. Get well soon J. Mills.

Seriously people are sounding the alarm for not.

If an injury was going to happen to any group, it's best it happened to the DB's.

Hope for a speedy recovery

Yea.. what's that guy thinking sharing his relevant experience with a similar injury. What an idiot.

I'm dumber for having read this post. If you ever want to be completely misinformed, post a topic about a medical or legal issue. Way too many posters slept at a Holiday Inn last night. " Depends on whether it's a break or a fracture." - post of the day.

people are really worries about the nickle but it's probably the best place to break in talented but inexperienced corners.

It inherently limits the number of plays you have to know as its only 1 personally package.

Plus picture Donte Jackson coming off the edge

My biggest concern is that he was the Leader of the secondary on the field. Like Brandon Taylor.
