Jacob Hester became a legend that day.
Les at his all time best for sure .
Still can't believe we went 5/5 on 4th down. Definitely one of the best games ever .

Wonderful memory.
Thanks for posting this.
Nice to hear Mr. Hawthorne as well.
And no mention of Herman Johnson's rank as to live births in Louisiana medical history.

. 2007 was such an intense and fun year.
I thought it was the most frustrating season I ever watched. We were easily the most talented team in the country and managed to lose 2 games and play down to the competition in several others. Backed into the nc game luckily so it ended all good but the regular season was such a roller coaster of emotions.
2011 was exact opposite. Awesome regular season kicking everybody's arse and then terrible luck at the end to ruin it.

I was at Rotolo's for this game. Back in those days, I'd bring my trumpet when I didn't have a gig. The place was ROCKIN'!

It was frustrating for everyone not just LSU. I have no facts to support this but it seemed like every week a top 10 team was going down. Excitement every week.

Best game as a fan to me
Aside from winning it all
I wanted that game more than any other
So awesome, was first pumping every first down!

I was there. I was also at the Auburn game that year. Kentucky, Alabama, and SEC Championship. What a crazy season.
Did you know Herman was biggest baby born in Louisiana?

It was the most exciting season in my lifetime for college football. Upsets every week. And unlike this year, it wasn't that so many teams were evenly mediocre. It was that so many were good. There were many good QBs which made for many dangerous offenses.
LSU suffered a defensive collapse midway. I guess it was due to injuries, I don't know exactly. I know Dorsey was hobbled due to that Auburn cheap shot.

Oh what could've been....
One could argue that it was the beginning of the end for Les Miles and definitely the beginning of the decade long QB debacle.
If Perriloux doesn't get kicked off Jarrett Lee and Jefferson aren't thrown to the fire as freshman and lose games throwing pick 6s that was 2008 and Les Miles may not be scared into be super conservative with his QB play.
Always interesting to think about. If RP plays in 2008, LSU wins a couple more games probably, and definitely Alabama. I don't recall if RP wouldve still been on the 2009 team or if he'd have graduated. But at least it would've been less time JL/JJ were starters and yes maybe Les doesn't go full conservative. Maybe JL develops better by not being ruined in 2008.

'08 was my freshman year at LSU and I still get pissed about the moment I found out Perilloux was dismissed just before the season started. Plus that dreadful App state game that kicked off at 9 a.m or whatever it was due to the hurricane. What a terrible season that was.

Best game i have ever been to...saints 2009 nfc championship is number 2.
There was a will to win there on both sides. Tebow gave his all...it was a game of will amd determination.
The crowd was electric...the USC announcement was deafening.

Nails.
The guy straight up was a hard player, great off the field as he was on.
Loved watching him play.

300,000 people remember being at that game!
All kidding aside, one of my favorite games of the Mile's era.

greatest game I ever saw in person.
I've been going to games since 1977 (give or take 40 or 45 games). Greatest game day experience I ever had was Florida 2007.
For me: Florida 2007 is #1, Auburn 1995 is #2 and Bama 2010 is #3 (my last game at Tiger Stadium).
Been busy, baws.
