He had a top 20 class last year. There's only 2 spots open and he signed a top 30 player with one of those.

These kids have never played together. They can't just go out and beat every team based on individual skill.

They will be no worse than a 5 seed in the 2012 NCAA tournament.

We only had 2 schollies to offer.

We're gonna have to hope that O'Bryant is good enough to be a go-to guy in coming years.

So I guess we can assume that you don't care for Coach TJ?

C'mon man. He brought in a solid class this year. And he has O'Bryant and Issac coming in next year. That's a pretty good haul, not counting the Hamilton kid transferring in.

Some have been disappointed so far this year, but I think some peoples expectations were a little much. This team is young and still doesn't have a load of talent down on the blocks. M.White has been a disappointment based on what we expected. Storm isn't playing particularly well. And G.Green is medocre, but actually has played better than in the past.

Our backcourt is really young. Stringer reminds me of D.Mitchell. He's a shooting guard playing the point. Turner is going to be very good as he matures. Dotson is much improved, but still has a ways to go.

It also doesn't help that La hasn't exactly been stellar the last few years with Bball talent.

Should be very close if O'Bryant is as good as advertised. The freshmen this year have tremendous potential and should be well-advanced by March of 2012. Stringer should have shot the ball more in last nights game IMO. He passed up a couple of open looks. He has Chris Jackson range when going well.

Look this team is very young and to expect alot is stupid. They have no point guard to lead the team at all. Trent kicked spencer off the team (needed to be done) and our top point guard recruit didn't qualify to play. Give Trent some time and they will be fine.

Define alot. If wins over Nicholls and Coastal Carolina (I know, they are spectacular) is alot. Well, my expectations are too high.

Thats the problem with LSU fans. They are putting high expectations on average players. Malcom white was never good but if you listened to LSU fans you wouldve thought Brandon Bass was coming in. Also Hamilton isnt good but he keeps getting talked about. People on here were even hyping Garret Green last year and he isnt that good.

Mediocre teams such as LSU are going to lose some games that they should probably win.
This team needs to take some licks before SEC starts.
One thing this team needs to do is play with more toughness down low. I really expected better play from White and Storm.
To this point, if this team struggles from the outside their in trouble. We must take better care of the ball and fight more for the boards.

I still like the potential of this team. I expected NIT at best so they still have some work to do.

We had a top ten talented team Marcus Thornton senior year and werent a top 8 seed but you think the team we have now plus O'Bryant is going to be next year?

Really?

This seems to go from a criticism of a kid to an attack on a kid.

he's playing a lot better. I'd say he's definitely playing better now than Malcolm White. Storm has been a major disappointment so far this season as well.

If these young guards can learn to be more patient with their shot selection I think they can be a tourny team for sure. Have to learn how to play D as well. It has been atrocious.
