You can say the same about Swift and T. Thomas.

Tyrus Thomas wasn't a one and done player.

So basically our one and done players that everyone is discussing starts and ends with Anthony Randolph.

This is amazing to me. It seems like football and basketball players come from the same demographic, and LA makes plenty of football players. Why do we suck at bball talent?

man, we dont suck in basketball talent.

people are clueless. 2 years ago was horrible in terms of LA.

Last year had a bunch of good players, they all just played the same position. We took Derenbecker, who was the best player in the state.

3 years ago we had Greg Monroe. he was the #1 player in the nation

We don't suck for talent but aside from Monroe there hasn't been an immediate impact recruit that has SEC POY potential and LA has produced that type of talent a few times this decade. So not without talent, but certainly not the same level outside of Monroe.

I'm very interested to hear more about Isaac. Seems as though his injury killed his ranking but someone had some nice things to post about him the other day.

I thought we were discussing last three years? Forgot about Augustine but he is certainly that level of talent. Let's be honest nobody realized Milsap would be that good, hence why he went to Tech. He's continued to improve though. He's in the Tyrus Thomas realm of a guy that just comes out of nowhere and continues to improve. Dunn is good but punched his gf in the face about a month ago. Carter is good but not All-SEC/POY type guy. He had a very good senior season though.

Shane Foster was a while ago but I always felt, even prior to him signing with Vandy, that it was a miss. But how long ago are we talking?

I mean I could sit here and discuss the misses by Brady for longer than I have time for. But the talent in LA over the last few years hasn't been as good as the better part of this decade.

Coastal Carolina will be a tournament team.

Eh, no they won't. They weren't that great at all. UNC-Asheville should win their conference. But even if they do make the tournament, it's just from the automatic bid from an incredibly bad conference. LSU should beat teams like that.

That being said, before last night's game, I did think this team was improving on a game-by-game basis, despite my personal belief that Trent Johnson is a below-average coach. However, they just don't have the talent or experience to be much of a threat in the SEC this year.

As for the person saying they will be no worse than a 5 seed in the tournament next year, you are nuts. Though the 2011-2012 team should be significantly improved, odds are they still won't make the NCAA Tournament.

Now, the 2012-2013 team with a more experienced Stringer and Turner, plus O'Bryant and hopefully freshman phenom Ricardo Gathers, has the potential to not only make the NCAA tournament, but make a deep run.

I am looking forward to watching this team grow and improve the rest of this season and in the next few years.

I want what you're smoking. You do realize that LSU only got a 4 seed with 3 NBA players on their roster the Final 4 year and won the SEC title?

*Nothing would make me happier if your projection came true*
