Drama queen. There is no sky is falling crowd. The game was the worst I have seen an LSU team involved in, much less a championship game. One day later, that piece of shite effort deserves criticism.

Maybe Miles will actually hire an OC and give him some autonomy.

well i for one think that miles did a big disservice to young Lee that kid deserved a chance to help the team as he did all season . a senior that will take that to his grave not being allowed to play. it may affect recruiting as well as a parent of a former college football player i tell you i would be in miles office being the door and let him know what i thought of this disgrace shown to my son. it will filter down to other parents as well.

this whole "frick you" hate fest is pitiful and embarrassing for fans of a team that won a conference title and went 13-1.

Reminds me of years ago when bama went 10-1 but lost to auburn and i think it was ray perkins had bricks thrown through his windows.

it was a terribly coached game, as was prep for it, but still it was only one game. coach miles is the same man today that he was yesterday morning.

It's simple. I've been an LSU fan for my whole life. I'm 44 so yep, that includes some REALLY frickING LEAN years. I endured Hallman. I endured Dinardo. I know bad. I can cheer through bad.

With Miles, I've always had lingering doubts but you just can't argue with Ws and Ls. Those numbers are on his side. And, I fully expect that to continue for the most part.

But, what died for me is this. Until the last two years and more importantly, until the last half of this season, I always really LIKED Miles. I mean, he just comes off as awfully likable and someone you'd like to know.

Sure, I questioned his overall handling of JL even a bit last year. But, this year, it was absolutely a gross case of poor character. And that's what's died for me. I will continue to be a huge LSU fan as I've been for all of at last 35 yrs of memory. But I'll be cheering for a team where I have no respect for the coach.

He can win and I'm sure he will. But he cannot earn that respect back. I'm sure he doesn't care about my respect and that's fine. But, it's gone nonetheless and I am 100% certain that I'm not alone.

I've looked at other teams and wondered what it's like to be a huge fan of a team with a coach of low character. What's that like Arky fans I would think? Well, now I'm going to be forced to answer that question myself.

frick YOU MILES.

You probably could have used the word retard correctly if you are going to hint someone else may be.

I despise the way Miles treated JL. But I'm still very glad he's our coach. He got out coached beyond compare last night. But that's the exception. Not the rule. Hopefully he learns from that experience and becomes and even better coach

Had this loss happened at the first of the year as opposed to the last, it would have been different. It wasn't even the loss, it was the horrible, shitty effort and game planning, preparation that have people in dismay.

LSU isn't the top program in the SEC, and is FAR from being at this point. That illusion is gone. Last night proved the guys on the other sideline are vastly superior to the guys on ours. One game? Yep, but it was a huge debacle.

LSU fans have high expectations, we know how high now. They have been capped for a while

This about sums it up.

I have no qualms about Collins or any other player going to another school now. After seeing the way the biggest game of these kids careers was handled last night, I wouldn't want to play on a defense when the offense repeatedly goes out and under performs either.

I felt really bad for the defensive players and receivers last night. They deserved better, the fans deserved better, the game of football deserved better.

The moves of Coach Miles over the past offseason and this season do put a big question mark on his character. First, to sign a QB (Mettenberger) who was kicked off UGA's team because of a sexual misdemeanor (groping a woman at a bar), then allowing JJ to pick up like before after he was arrested in the bar fight leaving the QB of character (JL) to die, and then only suspending Ware, Simon, and Mathieu for ONE GAME THAT DIDN'T MATTER for confirmed drug use.

And I don't know what is really going on between he and JJ or what JJ has on him that he would hang on to him to the point of getting skunked in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game.

I had lost faith in Miles by his handling the last 4 seasons of the QB situation, but I had tried to get back on the bandwagon. Now I am totally off.

I am like Shorty, I still bleed purple and gold, but there will be diminished passion until Miles is finally let go. For the life of me, I don't understand a SEVEN YEAR COACHING EXTENSION (that he received last year). After the meltdown (again JJ) at Arky, he should have gotten at the most a 2-year extension to give him another chance, if not let go after last season.

The players deserved a better effort, more support than they got from the staff in this game. Hopefully it's a learning experience for all of them, and the coaching staff as well.

No character? Just because he stuck with his QB? C'mon, man, come down from that ledge. I'm angry with Miles, too, but I still like the guy and am happy he's the Tigers coach. I think he does the best he can to do things right. I don't always agree with him, but it's his call and I support him.

I don't know why that debacle happened last night, but it happened. Didn't sleep worth a damn last night. I'll continue to worry about it, too.

But I think next year LSU will field a stronger team, with a better QB. We won't have the opportunity to have the kind of results we did this year, with victories over three major bowl winners (Orange, Cotton, and Rose). The schedule is weaker. But...it gives Mett, Rivers, or Randle (sp?) time to get experience.

We had a very public setback. An embarrassing, painful setback. But this team will chalk it up to experience and grow from it.

We have had an incredible run over the last nine years, maybe better than any other school. Enjoy that, and do come off that ledge.

The whole QB situation the last couple of years has been, well, weird. Granted, both of them were the weak links in this team, but I expected more of the other players and the coaches, but no one wearing purple and gold seemed to have the stomach for the fight.

No question, LSU had only loss and no real gain in having to beat those people twice which is unjust and was most undeserved. There ought not have been any rematch. The Gumps had their shot and lost...in Tuscaloosa no less. The BCS is so cocked up.

That said, Miles management of last night's festivities mirrors his handling of the QBs. On its face it makes not one whit of sense. Some say he owes no one an explanation, but I do not necessarily agree. He works at a public institution which many Louisianians are forced to support financially whether they want to or not. Lots of money is involved in his decisions to say nothing of the good will of the people of LSU and more importantly, the people of Louisiana.

He could help his badly damaged reputation by giving straight answers to every failing of his team's performance, especially his brain dead decision not to try someone else at QB. What was there to lose? Looking back, why did neither JL nor Mett get any playing time down the stretch?

Did he really believe that somehow, Mr. Jefferson would suddenly develop the ability to read a defense, which he cannot anymore than an illiterate could read Shakespeare? Miles evidently did not figure this out, ever.

He needs to let everyone know just what in the Sam Hill went down regarding the QBs and the moronic hidebound game plan.

AMEN... this is reaction too a horrible moment but what other time this year were we outplayed or coached. We are a very good team and have a human coach. Not one one person here is privy to the real situation and may never be. And really probably shouldn't be. None of this was surfacing post the first Alabama game while we were winning. I think just the opposite I would still take Les hands down! Is he perfect... no but who of us are.

We are lucky to have a very good coach and a very good team,

Yes, he is. A good and decent man, a good coach, a good recruiter, and a good representative for LSU. I'm proud to have him as our coach. Everyone has setbacks, everyone falls flat sometimes. It's how you recover from it that defines the content of your character.

Miles and the Tigers will bounce back, because they have character. Many of the naysayers on TD do not.

Agree. Glad he is still LSU's coach (Still need a few days, but it will get there) but he has a long way to go to be the best. Last night he was schooled. Hopefully it was a learning experience and he will develop an insatiable desire to win another championship. It wasn't there last night.
