It's about LSU and Louisiana, not any one person

I've lived outside the state for 25 years, but grew up in LA. When people find out I'm from Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, they ask me how many gators I've killed. I tell them I buy my gator tail from the stores. Not all Cajuns hunt gator.

Point is, I love my state, and my heritage, and protect It from folks who attempt to caricature it.

That said, I've been disappointed in LSU this year so far, but I WANT one of our own to succeed. I was as ticked as anyone after Troy. But I desperately want Coach O to succeed , because he is one of our own.

LSU has gone through growing pains this year. But...the character shown over the last couple of weeks speaks volumes about Coach O and his staff and the leaders on the team.

I appeal to the LSU faithful. Give the man some grace. Acknowledge that he ain't perfect, as I've done. Give him a chance to instill his culture. Forget about the Ole Miss debacle.

Allow the man some room to fail. Let's rejoice when he succeeds.

This is dumb. We want O to succeed because we want LSU football to be great. It doesn't matter where he is from. Today was great. He's still a bad football coach.

Im done complaining. It will all play out regardless. If he sucks it up enough for long enough he will be fired. If a miracle happens and he builds something substantial then I will love it for him. Im in it for the long haul.

this!
i want what’s best for LSU. period.

O has to prove this game wasn’t a fluke.

because his resumé has a lot more games like Miss St and troy on it than games like Auburn, he doesn’t get a long leash.

Do you really not feel this? If he blows, he blows, and I'm done. Don't you want him to succeed, regardless of your current emotional misgivings?

Some poster will never get it we love LSU just hold LSU to a higher standard than O can bring. We have seen the low and we see the current recruiting class. This is about our football team not O.. geez some posters are blind

I don't like O because you think he is "is one of our own" nor do I care. What I like about him is the way he is molding this team. Team is playing with a lot of heart (one heart beat) dispite the injuries and lack of depth in the most critical areas. Really he has done an amazing job considering the circumstances the last couple week after a rough start. He was very solid after he took over last year and proved himself as far as I was concerned. But what is most important is the team is bigger than any one player or coach and we need to all get behind them as coach O would say "with one heart beat" for the team and for recruiting. The haters trying to tear down the program do no one any good other than our opponents.

I agree with that other than the part about coach O. We all want what is best for the team except for those who are trying to tear down the program by stirring dissent on the board against the team and coaching staff. Seems a large contingent out to try to destroy LSU football and have had some success but team and staff have seemed to turn the corner against them.

Your wrong we see a different product on the field than your side does. That's it. Y'all thought O has been doing a good job so far we haven't that's it bro. We don't like a mediocre product and won't settle for it. We love LSU and hope they keep playing like they did in the second half was a great game. There does that help you?
