I manage a reasonably large organization. Within it, I have many experts under me. People who I hired for their expertise. Expertise in some areas where they are more expert and up to date than I am.
Exactly. Gray Tiger, you are way off base in your assessment. A great leader un...

re: If you're curious how Steve Ensminger called his games as OC over his career. - VincentVega
Just have balance. Loosen up the defense a little bit. Make them respect the passing game...don't necessarily need over 200 passing yards a game...balance...get the ball to the playmakers in space. Once in a while... ...

re: Art Briles - I'd take him - VincentVega
Retain Aranda...make sure the defense is in good hands. Right now, the defense is on the field far too long. However, a Briles type offense also has quick possessions. All of that said, I would just like to see some balance. Open it up. Maintain the fence around the state, keep getting grea...

Definitely some baggage. Possibly too soon. Redemption starts somewhere. Anyway, I would love the hire. ...

re: So When does LSU Play a Complete Game? (Passing Game Stats Inside) - VincentVega
LF is a rare talent (I know, Captain Obvious) but no balance portends trouble. Thing is, I believe Harris can get the job done, but I don't see WR creating separation, and we have all seen the dropsies. Harris is airing it out with his big arm but I don't see WRs catching the ball in space on interm...

re: So When does LSU Play a Complete Game? (Passing Game Stats Inside) - VincentVega
The concern isn't how many yards or how often we pass, it is balance. We need balance so that defenses respect the pass so that the entire playbook can be employed. The total abandonment of the passing game last night is, in my opinion, a bad indicator of our ability to do this when we must. ...

re: Is baseball unwatchable for anyone else? (bat thread) - VincentVega
I for one miss Gorilla Ball, but I will follow regardless. I know there are "purists" out there but college baseball was more unique and exciting 15 years ago. I can be a judgmental snobby purist and still want the bigger offenses of the 80s and 90s. ...

I'm not superstitious, but I admit that I probably care too much about this whole recruiting thing. I responded to this post because it was funny and lightens things up. No faux info about someone's ex-lover-former-hair-stylist-pool-boy overheard LF daydream about his school choice. All you Socr...

re: Trijicon owners, ever any problems? - VincentVega
I've been in the military and law enforcement since 1988, and I can tell you that if you get ten guys together in the same room going over their optics - Red Dot, Aim Point, Eotech, ACOG - there's gonna be some fisticuffs coming out of that conversation. Conventional wisdom shifts - big window Eote...

re: Trijicon owners, ever any problems? - VincentVega
Eotech is good for closer distances, IMO. Great close-quarter combat optic, but I think the ACOG is better if I'm going to be shooting at anything over 50 yards. Again, personal preferences. I wouldn't turn down any of them....

re: Trijicon owners, ever any problems? - VincentVega
I love the ACOG. It all comes down to personal preference, but as for me I prefer the ACOG over the other optics. For whatever reason I have been able to adjust to it better than I could the red-dot or EoTech. ...
