It was reported that we would give our new DC the same contract Chavis had... So $1.3m a year.

If Steele makes $1.3m and becomes 1 of the highest paid assistants in all of college football....

If you were Kevin Steele why would you EVER say no to $1.3 mil?

I'd be grinning ear to ear as I cashed every single paycheck

The Tigers have no shortage of candidates for a gig that’s getting a host of interest from around the nation. A salary for the new coordinator is expected to be similar to that of Chavis, who made $1.3 million a year, the third-highest of any assistant in the nation

It's been in a lot of articles written since the search began.

Really interested to see these contract details.

Hopefully they agreed to much less than 1.3mil a year so LSU can go out and pay Braxton to play here. Because we all know that if we stink it up next year, it probably won't be because of the defense

Those are your sources? The same insiders who had magnificent names on the hook.

Dude...

Like I said, it's been said in a lot of articles by a lot of different writers / sites / analysts / etc. that we would be paying our new DC a contract similar to

Here's another:
quote:

Most expected the new LSU defensive coordinator to earn a salary close to John Chavis’, which was $1.3 million while with the Tigers.

And say what you want about those sources and insiders... Kevin Steele was 1 of the first names that came up and his name and been consistent.
