looking to watch the LSU baseball games ?

I can't get it through my Xbox one and was wondering if chromecast is worth the purchase.

First thing I thought of when I saw the Title was IT certifications.

The WatchEspn app works with chromecast if that's what you're asking.

Yes, but I'd spend the extra $5 and get a fire tv stick.

I stated it that way because you can open your watchespn app and if you have SECN+ on there, the chromecast will stream it.

Takes the guess work out of whether you have access to WatchESPN (DIRECTV users, I'm told don't) and whether you have the SEC network in that package. The chromecast can stream anything that appears in the WatchESPN app.

Same with the Chromecast and Roku.

For some reason, the xbox one hasn't added it to watchESPN yet

Chromecast works by opening it through your phone and casting it to the chromecast. You can also control volume through your phone which i like. Your phone doesn't have to be on or in the room after you cast it.

Firestick can be sideloaded with XBMC which is pretty nice. Also comes with a stand alone remote.

Both good devices, I prefer the chromecast now, but I haven't added XBMC

This is what makes the Fire Stick a no-brainer.

Yes it's worth it as long as you have a mobile device that has watchespn.

If you want something that doesn't require the need for a mobile device and has its own remote get the roku streaming stick or fire TV stick.

I enjoy all of these. The fire TV stick isn't available to purchase for a few days.. But you can't really go wrong with any.
