However, I have to say his early story on the "boycott" seems like a hatchet job of blown out of proportion reporting.

He's the person who carelessly started the "boycott" word and it was harmful towards LSU. We all have a choice in what we read or where we click. I've unfollowed him on Twitter and won't read his articles. I suggest others do the same if you feel his articles are reckless and harm LSU and their recruiting efforts.

I find it more believable that there were indeed several coaches or other people thinking about some type of boycott. The discrepancy is between what the public knows and what's going on behind the scenes.

If you follow recruiting like I do then you know Sam puts out a ton of quality info. Over the last recruiting cycle he put out more stuff than any other guy covering LSU.

Shea Dixon put out more articles in one week than SS put out the entire year last year.

This was a reporter trying to make a splash. Instead he made a hack job of a report in an effort to self promote

It's more important to be first and loud than it is to be accurate in journalism nowadays

Spiegelman reported a "boycott meeting" was going to be held. Every coach denied this once they were spoken to. Mickey Joseph spoke to NO coaches and said there was never going to be any boycott

If facts like that are that easily
available to other outlets by simply asking questions then Spiegelman
could have done the same. He didn't because he is lazy and a hack.
