i think he is in the top 5.

nicky savoie
david lefluer both come to mind in recent years. Dickson could become the all time recieving tightend in school history by the time he graduates.

La fleur or the flower. Feminine noun requiring feminine article. We get the uer a lot due to the common mispronunciation. Not trying to be a douche-sorry if it comes off that way.

He may have the best hands of any TE in LSU history. My father says Billy Truax (sorry if misspelled) was a beast. Kinchen was very good and had a solid NFL career.

These two along with Ken Kavanaugh, Sr., Billy Masters and Doug Moreau were all very good TE's.

What former LSU TE got drafted into the Pro's and was moved to LB?

I've been staining what passes for a brain to answer that one. Will probably kick myself when you provide the answer.

Nicky Savoie in the top 5 ? Do you mean LSU's best TE in the last 12 years ? Savoie wouldn't make a top 25 list of LSU's best TE's.

He has definately done great so far. I'd like to see how he finishes out his career before we label him the greatest ever.

He was very good last season, especially considering he didn't play in 3 games. I think if he can come out and catch for 400-500 yds and score another 5 or 6 td's than you have to put him in the argument at the very least.

I thought Robert Toyal could've been a great one, but was under used for one reason or another. My fondest memory was when Booty rolled out and hit him on a little 5 yard out route against Alabama and he took it to the house to break the home losing streak against the Tide.

Not yet, but if he does this, then yes, I think so. I have to admit, he was shockingly good last year. Can't wait to see him this year. I think we use him a lot with our inexperienced QB's.

he's already better than Royal, last year Dickson had a better year than Royal had in his 4 years at LSU, and Dickson's only going to get better.

Here's what I have per lsusports.net (Lafleur's first 2 seasons aren't online, so it is sort of half-assed)...

Lafleur
1995 120 yds 0 TD
1996 439 yds 3 TD

Royal
1999 143 yds 1 TD
2000 340 yds 5 TD
2001 224 yds 1 TD

Dickson
2006 96 yds 0 TD
2007 375 yds 5 TD

That's purely statistical though. I'd be interested to see if anyone had any stats on Lafleur from earlier seasons.
