LSU needs to hire a spread offense coach and start running spread, because thats what fits out talent pool best. Lousiana produces a bumper crop of skill position players, but very few elite Olinemen or passing QBs (the 2 most important positions in a pro style offense).
LA high schools put their best athletes at QB and ask them to scramble and throw, but rarely to drop back and read a defense and run a pro style passing attack. That carries over to the next level and LA QBs are behind the curve when they get to LSU and are forced into a pro style offense.
The next guy has to do what Miles never did- Design the offense around the talent in place and what they do best. (not just the current talent on the team, but the talent in the state that we will be drawing players from.)

This is the main reason i want Herman instead of Jimbo.
