Is Pro Style QB the right call?

Whether by Coach O, or by another coach, is it the right approach?
I am hopeful that whoever the coach is, that we completely commit to a single philosophy and ONLY recruit QB's that are within bounds of that system.
As has been pointed out by some, Lee/Jefferson and Etling/Harris belong in no common offense anywhere.
If you were the coach, what would be your one offensive scheme/philosophy?
Once established, your job would be to commit to only that style of QB recruit.
What do you do?

What the hell did you just say

Any good coach will adapt to the players he can get. Bama transitioned from Coker to Hurts without a hickup. Hell even Auburn went from Marshall to White and finally got it figured out.

If the oline can't block anybody you can have cam newton or tom Brady back there and nothing will work.

What about Chad Kelly and Austin Allen?

Harris has a rocket for an arm. Takes a little more than that to play the position well.

Did you watch those games? They had protection at least for the most part. Plus their OCs called good games. Ours looked like les miles reborn Saturday.

If chad kelly austin allen Nick fitzpatrick or lamar jackson would have been under center last night I am sure we would have at least scored.

Nope not with those calls and that oline.

at this point, I wouldn't box yourself into a corner with the way this offense has hindered the program going back to Lee
Do whatever you have to do to win and move the ball

Just eyeing the rankings:
1 Alabama: DT QB
3 Clemson: DT QB
5 Louisville: DT QB
6 Ohio State: DT QB
9 Oklahoma: DT QB
10 Texas A&M: DT QB
11 West Virginia: DT QB
12 Penn State: DT QB
15 UNC: DT QB
16 Colorado: DT QB
18 Virginia Tech: DT QB
20 Florida State: DT QB
21 Nebraska: DT QB
25 Baylor: DT QB
Certainly seems like a spread approach with a QB who can run is lending itself to success based on the rankings.

Does not matter what type of QB you prefer, unless you get lineman that fit as well, your in trouble. The lineman in a spread offense, which most High Schools run now do not stay on blocks very long, and don't fit a run heavy offense.

Spread doesn't mean pass heavy. Bama, Ohio St., Clemson, Auburn all run spread schemes based on power run and all recruit the same O-Lineman LSU does
