IS NIGHTTIME IN TIGER STADIUM REALLY THAT SPECIAL?

What separates the occasion from other college football venues? The reason I am asking is that UGA fans are bitching about having to play more night games to satisfy the new ESPN contract. Mark Richt doesn't like it and AD Damon Evans dosn't like it either. This is why I love and miss my home state. We have unique tastes.

Yeah it's that special. YOu have longer to get "ready" if it's a night game. Longer to tailgate.

Night games in Tiger Stadium just take on a whole different feel. You have to experience it to understand it.

Mike Archer said the difference between a day game and a night game is that you can smell the bourbon from the field at a night game.

Not to mention that it can be 10-15 degrees cooler at night...

But, the more time to get "ready" is the best part.

This partially true, but there is a mystique about Saturday night in Death Valley.

Games take on a different feel as the sun sets. The crowd ramps up, the team focusses, "it's ON". Few places like it.

And by the way, who the hell wants to sit in 90+ degree heat after a morning slamming Jack n Cokes? Not me!

Night time is the right time!

I dont think the drinking part is as big of an influence as everyone thinks. If your a TRUE tiger, if its a noon kick off your there at 5 in the morning getting ready. All fans are ready by game time regardless of what time it is. I think its more a mystic thing. Nothing quite like hearing the announcer saying. ITS SATURDAY NIGHT AND THE SUN IN SETTING. WELCOME TO DEATH VALLEY AND HERE COME YOU FIGHTING TIGERS OF LSU!!! I get goose bumps just thinking abotu it. Nothing like it!

Well...lately, nighttime in Tiger Stadium has meant playing Miss State in your top game, state universities/colleges, and Troy.

Also, CBS's high demand to show LSU at the primetime slot much of the last two years, as well as TAF corporate buy outs of tix has also made the special feeling go away. Hurricanes haven't helped matters, either. It's at least been since '07 Auburn since I have felt an inkling of it. I hope it returns.

Noon games suck. We have at least 4 of those a year up here. My favorite is 3:30, but night games are cool, too. I usually only like one (maybe two) a year, though. Hopefully, I'll eventually be able to attend a big time night game in Tiger Stadium. See what all the hype's about.

That a boy. Made it back for the georgia game last year. Was jumping on the hotel bed at 430 in the morning screaming its game day at the top of my lungs taking shots of Gentlemen Jack. Of course i still think i was feeling okay from SCHLITZ and GIGGLES the night before. Best bar ever in downtown
