I was there also and the reality is that Ole Miss outplayed us the whole game except for the last minute. The crowd was never really in the game until the last 4 seconds and then all hell broke loose!! :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

Four notes from the band and 90,000+ of your closest friends.

Nothing else like it.

It is right up there with your wedding day, or the birth of your first child.

Yea, it is special.

Yea I was sorry for missin' the score and also the dates but you know where I'm comin' from. I was there also, that is what it does to you, you get caught up in what is going on around you and you cannot believe it is happening then it is all over and it is the next day and you say; was that real? did that really happen? was that a dream? man I want to do that again then next saturday night comes around and it happens all over again. Nothin' like a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night WOW!

Going to a night game at Tiger Stadium is like sex. It's hard to explain but once you experience it you can't get enough

Night games in Tiger Stadium just take on a whole different feel. You have to experience it to understand it.

Its just harder to get loud and rowdy when its 99 degrees with the sun beaming in your face. Night games are the best.

Geez. Has anyone ever heard of tradition, history? F/k everyone else if they don't like it, it's ours. I u/stand that you have to play day games on CBS occasionally. But, if you have to ask the question.... you don't have a clue about the answer.

They are really special. But think about it. The better the program we have, the fewer night games we get because we are on TV during the day for the whole country to see.

In our perfect world, an LSU perfect world... all home games will be played in white jerseys in the black night... on National TV.

As a former wrestler and particularly as a former organized baseball player, performing well under the lights is markedly more thrilling than under the sun. It is just you, the field of play, and the fans. Nothing else exists. The same instincts might be called into play for us LSU football fans as we become familiar with playing at night.

I just think that the anticipation really gets going for the night games. Not to mention, you know that the entire nation is watching when we have that big time night game. Yeah, most people get to tailgate more and thats nice, but in the end, its just not explainable the sound different in Tiger Stadium at night vs. day. Everything just feels different. I know personally that when we have one of those late afternoon kickoffs that once the sun sets it seems like the crowd really gets into it way more and the stadium comes alive.

Obviously there are exceptions to this, the stadium was rocking for the 03 UGA game which was a very early start. But at the same time, it would be tough for anyone to convince me that you can top the feel of Tiger Stadium during the 07 Florida game, that was just something that could only happen at night in Tiger Stadium.

I know that there are others, but I was too young to be there for other major games, earthquake game, USC game, stuff like that, but most of the great games in tiger stadium seem to happen at night and if that is something that continually happens maybe its not just a coincidence, maybe there is something to it.

I have watched games in Tiger Stadium since 1967. Yes, the night ones are very special. It is a different atmosphere, a different crowd, and a totally different aura at night. One that a lot of opponents generally do not like.

To me, night games aren't as much specifically about drinking as just the anticipation. You drink more, but you also talk more, meet more people, watch other games more, and just get overall more excited. I get butterflies at night games that I normally wouldn't get at day games because there's not enough time to build that energy up. Anyway, for me, it's the anticipation that makes night games special.

And they're not so fricking hot.

This is the correct answer.

It is, but I'm afraid the current administration of LSU is doing everything they can to make sure it isn't so.

Gradually destroying the atmosphere with piped in music, over the top advertising and "standing rules" meant to placate geriatric socialites who want to sit and be quiet. Not to mention gradually taking seats away from students. It's really not a secret that Tiger Stadium's atmosphere is nowhere near what it used to be.
