what LSU's qb situation has come down to.

none of the other thousand plus thing a good qb does for his team is important to many of you..
He just doesnt throw the picks like JL did.
and he is only 19. boom.

Exactly, if the receiver isn't open by two steps JJ doesn't throw it.

You spell that with a capital J. Just checking making sure my list of JJ detractors is accurate. Mallet 1st then JJ.

What is this, Nazi Germany? I really couldn't care less if you feel the need to "embarrass me" if something wonderful happens and JJ has a successful year. Congrats on looking like an arse.

Yes it is I think they voted today. So prepare your self for embarrassment and worse. You can run but you can not hide. If you stay clean from any ill advised rants Ill put in a good word to the RPS for you but no more careless ranting..... or else.

If you really think I'm going to be caused embarrassment over that, I don't know what to tell you. I've made some wrong predictions, been wrong sometimes, and owned up every time; however, I'm usually right . I really do hope the kid has a great year; however, you'd have to be blind to try to prop him up as a all SEC QB. He has a very odd and insanely long throwing motion. He refuses to throw into smaller (not Brett Favre small) windows. Jordan also is not the best at "feeling the pressure" and getting rid of the ball in a timely fashion. He does have some good points, hes a very good athlete and is a great runner when he gets flushed. I just think he plays too conservatively, and I don't see how thats going to change because he saw first hand what happens when you take chances and don't succeed (Lee).

Well, what puts him over the top will be his improved team mates. You have to believe he will improve somewhat just from shear reps. I base my opinion on who comes back in the SEC. Only comp is Mallet and McElroy. Throwing motion hasnt been much of a factor in SEC QB success.. see TT. I believe every group gets better across the board and butts are on the line to add to the incentives.

Tim Tebow also had an insanely talented offensive line that gave him years back there that JJ won't have. I wouldn't sleep on Brantley (sp I know) from UF, he could be a Matt Flynn type for them.

Absolutely pointless. If he is afraid to throw into traffic, LSU isn't moving the football. More picks means he is probably taking some risks.

The reason LSU offense was stagnant last year for the most part is JJ was way too tentative.

If 5 more INT's meant 7 more TD's, LSU would be undefeated.

He did succeed. Quit comparing him to JL, not valid. Surely you believe MF had success. Stats are nearly identical and MF had better pieces of the puzzle at his disposal.

Stats don't mean shite, moving the football consistently means shite.
Will see if it comes together this season.
He showed signs of progression in some areas, not so much in others. It s new year.

There is some merit to the O-Line being less-than-stellar, but that excuse is getting very old.

Pocket presence MUST improve regardless. Thus far that one factor alone has been debilitating to his development. I am hoping that specific practice drills are focused on that factor as a basis for his mental development as a QB. It is all in his head, so they need to drill into his incremental success patterns that give him confidence and allow him to develop this intuitional ability. If/when that happens, then that will start the development ball rolling.

OMG, where else do you throw up....your arse?? It is sicking that the JJ debate just has no end. To make it interesting I think I should start taking bets. The subjective nature of progress with JJ could keep this going all the way past a national championship with some of these geniuses. I can hear it now...he won the NC but not because of JJ,he didnt progress, every body else got better. He has progressed he will progress and with a little help from others most of us will be very pleased.

Except that 5 more interceptions means five more chances for the other team to score and five more possible scoring drives killed.
