Jarrett Lee is pretty much done. There is nothing he can do this year to erase his past. I'm not a JL fan but I'm just keeping it real.It will haunt him forever. Like the media can't forget Vick and dog fights.... Same type of deal... NO matter if he should have been MVP or did all these voulunteer things for animal activist.

None of you can see JL playing on the next level or on any NFL Owner's radar. Just be honest. All I ask this year is he continue to maintain as long as we need him. My expectations for him isn't high. Doesn't seem like Mile's is either from the post game interview. And the choice of play calling showed they weren't too confident in him...

Do I Boy never has been a Tiger fan. There is nothing he can do to erase his past because he has always been a nega Tiger. I'm not a Do It Boy Fan but I'm just keeping it real. Mistakes made by LSU players that he hates will haunt him forever.

Do It Boy thinks that if you aren't NFL material you suck as a college football player. My expectations for Do It Boy isn't high. He will continue to be a negative, miserable watcher of LSU football. Once LSU got a comfortable lead in the second half and the running game was working, had Do It Boy been calling plays he would have been chunking the ball.

He didn't float a ball in the middle of the field which has been his biggest problem to date.

He floated two passes to Boone and Beckham but both were thrown between the WR and the sideline.

All in all, he did fine.

His confidence is a work in progress and bringing back JJ would only seem to hurt that IMO.

Yes he seems afraid and timid when passing.

Like am I sure JJ was...

I agree JL was under an enormous amount of pressure and think he is glad that this game is behind him, and the Tigers offense will only improve each week...

Like it or not, Lee's biggest problem remains the fact that he doesn't want to get hit. It's why he throws off his back foot nearly every pass and falls away after the throw. It's not coaching, because any QB coach would have addressesd it.

His footwork and mechanics won't improve until he conquers this fear of the rush. He feels it even when it's not there. Lee is talented and could be one of the best passers in the SEC, but he will remain what he has always been if he doesn't get over the fear of being hit. Just that simple. I'm certainly pulling for him, because he could have a dream season if he could fulfill the physical potential he has.

He's 70/129 for 770 and 4 TDs with only 2 Ints in the past two seasons. So . . . he's been steadily improving for a long time.

I don't think Jarrett Lee is haunted by 2008 as much as a lot of Tiger fans are. They are the ones who can't get past Lee's admittedly dismal 2008 pick-six fest (as an inexperienced freshman). Has Lee been a great QB since then? No. Has he been inconsistent? Yes. But the same could be said for Jefferson. Lee has improved over the past two years. How much? We'll find out. But the image of a confused Lee throwing all those pick-sixes in 2008 is still the image a lot of people hold on to. They are the ones who are haunted by it.

@Do It Boy

Are you REALLY comparing Jarrett Lee's bad play as a freshman to Mike Vick and dogfighting?? Are you sure you're ready to draw that comparison?

Exactly how does one become haunted by past mistakes? Fear of duplicating a mistake festers in your muscle memory until you are doomed to repeat said mistake? I don't buy all this sports psychology mumbo-jumbo.

I don't think Jarrett Less has ever been haunted by any mistakes he's made on the field. He knows it's a game.

If he were terrified to make mistakes, he never would've had the courage to go out on the field and throw his next 17 interceptions in '08.
