Is Jarrett Lee Still Haunted by the Ghosts of '08?

IMO, he is somewhat. Just watched the replays and he still doesn't appear completely comfortable.
I think once he realizes he doesn't have to defend the NC ('07) with Mallevto's D and force things, he'll get much better.
Although I liked the touch on the pass to D. Peterson, his most mature pass may have been the one he threw away.

It was his first game back as a starter. He may have been nervous, but he didn't make any mistakes. Give him a few games to settle in and we'll see what we've got.

There was alot of pressure on him coming into this game. Give him some time and he settle in a be a good one for the Tigers.
fwiw I thought he played a very well game. Didn't turn the ball over and that was the number one thing I was concerned with him.

The crowd was very warm to him. No boo's, and they all cheered loudly for him and even chanted his name at the end of the game. If that doesn't give you confidence, Idk what will. He was alright in the Oregon game, but that was -as much as we don't want to admit it- a tough defense to open up the season with. Hopefully, he gets the hang of things and progresses with every game this season.

He didn't throw any pick-sixes, or any picks at all, so that's a big improvement at any rate.

as long as he doesnt throw picks our d and running backs can win us the nc he is a good quarter back and holding him to what he did his freshman year is unfair he won us at least 2 games last season i got faith in him

quote:Really? He's 70/129 for 770 and 4 TDs with only 2 Ints in the past two seasons. So, if you had a functioning brain, you'd know he's been steadily improving for a long time.

GTF over 2008.

He hasn't had as much play time or exposure as he did in 2008, so it's a little hard to completely forget that. It's the whole point of this thread anyway.
And yes, my brain is functioning because it tells me there must have been something (i.e., practice and some play time) to have him do better this past Saturday as compared to 2008, besides magic.

Jarrett Lee is pretty much done. There is nothing he can do this year to erase his past. I'm not a JL fan but I'm just keeping it real.It will haunt him forever. Like the media can't forget Vick and dog fights.... Same type of deal... NO matter if he should have been MVP or did all these voulunteer things for animal activist.
None of you can see JL playing on the next level or on any NFL Owner's radar. Just be honest. All I ask this year is he continue to maintain as long as we need him. My expectations for him isn't high. Doesn't seem like Mile's is either from the post game interview. And the choice of play calling showed they weren't too confident in him...

He didn't expect to be the starter. It was a huge game. I'm sure he was nervous. Understandable.

@Do It Boy look at flynn man noone expected him to do shite he is back up to the man who won the SB its a long ways off but JL will be a pro QB and will be descent at worst he is a pro style accurate QB and will dominate the 2 min drill this season

JL is not Flynn. Flynn had not the reputation JL has. JL by far has one of the most scrutinized names in Tiger Sports history.
My God! They named him " Jarret Pick 6 Lee". Couldn't be a more insulting name for a QB.

This place needs some kind of stupid filter. It's quite distracting.

Sounds like your defense of JJ may be more based on skin tone.
Your right. I'm a white boy. and I love JJ's skin tone better.
What a terrible guesser.
Are you Ms. Cleo? I'm calling the psychic network for my money back. You are one PATHETIC LOSER

You're fricking clueless as I first pointed out in your first post.
