Caldwell's salary is bull, she was making $300k, which was bumped from $150k to start, she left for $700k to $900k. She makes more than everyone but JJ, Les and the big coordinators. THere is nothing that says she had to be paid relative to the others in her sport, when we could have given her a 50% increase and there is no way she doesn't come here. She was essentailly unproven and hasn't done anything without Van's players.

I think Torina started low and will be bumped again, because of her sucess and where she started.

I am not sure the range for golf, but that does seem high for a a non revenue producer that really doesn't have a true fan following at the events to off set with outside revenue. Could be TAF money was targeted to get him at that price.

This is just another situation where Alleva was supposed to know a sport, really crapped the bed.

LSU men's golf won a national title so yea..

Also Beth is a hell of a coach that deserves a raise. I think it's criminal that the women's basketball coach makes more then both combined..

According to LSU Sports website, everything in Tiger Park was sold out for the season (mostly by season ticket holders.)

They have about 450 seatbacks @ $150 ($67,500) and about 840 bleacher seats @ $75 ($63,000). Additionally, they have 30 suite seats at $350 ($10,500) and 960 club seats at $250 ($240,000). This is a total of $381,000 for the regular season, not including individual game ticket that they sell for $5 per game. Additionally, they made in the neighborhood of $150,000 in ticket sales hosting a regional, So I think it's safe to say they made at least $550,000 at the box office.

If you multiply the average game attendance of 1877 by the 39 games played in Tiger Park you'll get 73,302 fans that watched games this year. I'm guessing that most of them spent at least $10 each at the concession stands; however, I'll go with an average of $7 per person. That's another $500,000.

I have no idea how much they make from all the advertising you see around the stadium, but I'd guess it's pretty substantial. Also, I'm sure there's other sources of revenue I'm leaving out.

All told, I'd be surprised if Softball doesn't generate at least $2,000,000 per year (and I think that's being conservative).

I don't know what the program costs to operate, but I don't think they're a huge drain on the overall athletic department.
