I also wish there was an option to put Foster or Fraley at DH instead of Chinea being given the job. But I doubt that happens.

We agree again.

And this may belong in both of these threads:

Hale has 6 assists and 2 errors. 8 ground balls hit at him for those rantard out there. With both of those errors on easy ground balls at 2B.

Zardon has 14 assists and 3 errors. 17 ground balls hit at him.

I'm not knocking Hale at all. He's a good infielder. But damn, people need to back off Zardon. It's like everyone suddenly "sees what PM sees" just because he made comments.

Imo, Hale had a worse game at 2B than Zardon had at 3B. But PM has made a big deal about this one for some reason. My point. People are sheep.

Coach Mainieri, please don't talk bad to the PLB's, you're going to hurt the feelings of all the Rant non-athletes that have never had a coach before and don't understand how playing sports works.

That mean LSU baseball coach says mean things to his players. LSU Worshippers and Idolizers don't like it one bit. Makes them want to

No, you dont understand what playing a sport in college is about. Our coach used to rip us a new a-hole at practice and in the locker room, absolutely dog cuss us. But to the papers and media he would never single out an individual for bad performance

To your point about chinea, hcb pointed out to me from bandland and that he was the worst OBP of all the usual starters. That includes 10 players.

Didn't realize he had the lowest, figured he'd be second lowest to Hale. Haven't looked at stats this early on, but people usually give Hale alot of credit at the plate, yet he usually has a really low OBP. But he puts alot of balls in play. So at least he gets alot of productive outs.

But he's tied with Bregman for third on the team with 14 hits.

And Chinea's obp is .343 vs. Kramer's .348. Not statistically significant imo.

I consider Hale to be a clutch player. If there are 2 outs and a runner in scoring position, I like to see Hale walking up to the plate.

OP is definitely a millennial. If you are offended by the truth, go soothe yourself by staring at all of your participation trophies. If you're not first, you're last - PERIOD!

OBP is more significant than total hits. But if you throw in RBI, multibase then you have something. And I understand Chi and KRob are completely different players. One is supposed to drive in runs. The other is to get on base. Really we are comparing Chi, Fraley, and Foster and I was pointing out something to support Josh's thoughts on Chi

Coaches telling the media about individual performances sucking is not how it was done back in the day either. Be honest, have you even read the thread? Not one person is against PM ripping them apart at practice and in the locker room

lsupride - Please! Enough of this coddling crap. Go home and tell your kids how special they are, only to have reality bitch-slap in the face.
