It's not as entertaining as it used to be, but I love the game so it doesn't affect me as much.

My problem is this. The current ball and bat does not translate at all to the new stadium at the world series. When the pitcher doesn't even have to worry about the ball leaving the yard there is a problem. Last year's WS was disgusting to watch (and not Just the LSU games).

The WS games have no balance. Some of the balls crushed last year never came close to leaving the yard. The game doesn't and shouldn't be all about homers, but you can't eliminate from the sport like what happened at the WS last year.

What I can't understand is that everyone, especially MLB, knows that homers draw excitement and ratings. With that being said, why in the hell did the NCAA neuter the game?

I have to admit, the CWS was frustrating to watch last year, even once LSU was out, I like small ball in clutch situations, not as an entire game plan.

I remember when I was 16 our pitcher couldn't field a bunt and make a throw to save his life. We played one team that bunted 13 runs and we lost by a few runs. Sure, they won, but how much bragging can you do when nobody swung a bat the entire game? It was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever seen, on both our parts

I agree with everything you posted. The major problem with college ball is the pitching staffs aren't very deep for most teams. With tighter balls or livelier bats you get too many 15-12 type games. Especially on Sundays. I still watch whenever I can.

The CWS is an awful combination of a large park with the wind blowing inward and composite bats. The CWS was unwatchable. Looking forward to see if the new baseballs will make a difference in 2015. CPM will be better prepared for should LSU make a return trip.

Not unwatchable but I did have to change aspects of the game that I find enjoyable.. I've learned to appreciate quality spot pitching and fielding with the occasional pop out.

I wish they could come up with an arrangement with MLB to bring wooden bats to the college level.

They (the rules committee) killed the bats too much. The didn't have to take ALL the pop out of the bats. Wile it was fun watching gorilla ball it was a little much watching seemingly every ball go out of the park but it does suck only having one HR every 10 games or whatever the number is. They should of kepy a little pop in them. Hopefully the new balls will put a little more pop in the bat and we will have more HR'S.

I for one miss Gorilla Ball, but I will follow regardless. I know there are "purists" out there but college baseball was more unique and exciting 15 years ago. I can be a judgmental snobby purist and still want the bigger offenses of the 80s and 90s.

Yeah.

I'll watch when we get into SEC play, and especially towards the SEC Tournament. But otherwise, I'm not going to the park or tuning in on TV to watch us play some crappy OOC team. To me, it's really boring.

Pitchers duals

Translation: "where almost nothing happens."

A guy stands at the same spot and throws a ball to a guy crouching in the same spot over and over again. Once in awhile, a guy with a bat hits the ball but rarely gets on base. Most defensive plays are routine ground outs or fly balls. That's pure excitement right there.

Yawn.

No. I've watched the Tigers through all of the changes (probably 90-91 to now) and I still can't wait for baseball to start. I find that even though we aren't launching at least one HR a game (student during those times), that we still have more offense and excitement than most.

I only wish I had the ability to attend more games.

it does reduce the entertainment value of the game. But baseball is one of those sports that just is never unwatchable for me.

I knew last year when UCLA's pitcher was using the 88 MPH high fastball as a go to pitch to get fly ball outs...If he brings that crap in MLB he'll never get out of rookie ball.

They went from not being able to tell who was a good hitter to not being able to tell who is a good pitcher.

In 2015, the seams on the ball will be much flatter than those allowed now. I will take a really good pitcher to throw a breaking pitch. These mediocre junk pitchers will have a hard time. This will make up for the bats. Something akin to gorilla ball will come back.

Good, looking forward to it. I will always love watching the game but a little more offense will make it that much better.
