Is anyone else kind of apathetic about what we do in Hoover?

Obviously, this applies only to the people who feel we have the national seed locked up already.
I love the SEC tourney, always have a good time in Hoover, but if I had the choice of jumping in a time machine and travel to the regionals next week, I'd do it. Sure, it'd be cool to win another tourney title, but I just want us to get out of this with our players in good form and health.

I want LSU to play well, but I'm not going to stress if we don't and lose out. We've got a seed. And we'll be paired with the same regional whether we are 8th or 5th.

I want us to prepare to win but won't be heart broken if we don't. What I don;t like is the approach Ray Tanner's teams took and almost tried to lose and rest players. I want our team to approach these game "business as usual" so they don't get out of their routine. It would really suck to drain this positive momentum by coasting through a couple of games in Birmingham.
Also, while the SECT may be meaningless for us some years, we've had some pretty damn fun games there over the past 10 years. That 2013 final against Vandy was awesome.

That was the best baseball game played by any two teams in that entire season. It was by far the two best teams in the country with both teams making ridiculous play after ridiculous play.

I think LSU will likely be a national seed but I think the more we win, the less excuses the committee will have to put someone else in the top 8. Plus, I'm always excited for an LSU win/tournament championship.

I'd like to play 3 games and get all our pitchers some work. And that means we win at least 1 game and avoid going 0-2 to give the committee anything to use against us.

Somewhat apathetic but I'd like to see them make at least a bit of a run. It will help keep their confidence up. It will help get them into a tournament mindset (not sure if that's actually a thing). I will get to see a lot more of Rabbit's dancing nanas.

I don't stress out over it, but it is the beginning of the post-season and it's an exciting tournament that I truly enjoy watching.
