I'll say that LSU definitely has everything going for them in terms of perception. I'm in Athens with UGA fans, but I was with some people talking about the game. Somebody asked "who do think will win?" The unanimous answer was "pssshhh, Alabama easily." That's exactly what LSU wants everybody to think...

This would totally mean something if the fans played the game....

Have faith trooper, or why even watch the game? Oh yeah, looking for material to bytch about.

You obviously don't know me or my post history. I am a charter member of the Posi-Tiger Club and a Miles fan from the beginning. Losing to Ole Miss with everything to play for in November and with them missing all of those starters really soured me on the chances of this team in the Alabama and Texas A&M games. I am still a fan and will still watch and even if we go 8-4, I won't be that upset. It happens.

But, in talking about what kind of chance we have against Alabama, I am looking for reasons to hope and I cannot find any. I just can't.

If we lose, life will go on, no one should be fired, and we will live to fight another day. It is just a game. But, I cannot objectively see how we will win. Vegas seems to agree as does the rest of the nation. That doesn't make me negative. It just makes me realistic.

Of course, I very much hope that I am wrong.

You especially take a team seriously that managed to lose to OM.

Should they?

We got beat by a defensively depleted Ole Miss team and our only "signature" win to this point in the season is to Florida, which has shown it is nothing close to being a worldbeater.

I wouldn't.

Bama has taken every game seriously this season, which is why their defense is statistically so good. They don't give up the easy TD with three minutes left when up 40-3.

I doubt they're overlooking us.

What about in '08 & '09 when our defense and offense was atrocious? We brought one game into overtime and could have won the other game!

From an article that I read today, an Alabama player noted that they are aware of what LSU will run and when. The player sounded as if he is certain of what to expect. In the past, I would agree, but with Cam on our side, I expect several non-seen before plays that Alabama players will say, "WTH?"
