Superfluous gimmicks.
I'd settle for a band with a powerful sound that's not a "park and play" band.
I saw in some recent rankings that TGBFTL was ranked 20th in the country.
That's far too low.

All except the LSU Band under the leadership of these slimeballs.....One of the members told me that the band is WAY down in numbers this year. I also saw on facebook a number of band members who quit after a few days of camp with these jacka$$es not to mention the members who did not return because they were already aware these guys were slime. Wait until the JSU marches into Tiger Stadium (1st home game) with 550. Compare what a Division II college band can be like under proper leadership.

Well I hope so because the band has been sub par imo as far as TGBFTL standards ...
I'm not saying the band members were necessaraly bad but something has been missing for sure .....

Really...That's why they were named one of the top ten bands in the country a couple of years ago......won the ESPN battle of the bands contest......won the Sudler award......named the all american college TV band by GM (only college marching band contest EVER held).

No inside info, but numbers don't always mean better. Sometimes higher expectations can lead to attrition.
