Moved to Louisiana (New Iberia) in 1981 when I was 11. I started paying attention to LSU by listening to WFMF's Tiger Tracks with Jim Nasium. I got hooked for life as a freshman in 1988.

In the womb, but definitely at age 6 in 1969, on the way up Airline Highway from Kenner past The Snake Farm, Roussel's, Hopper's, Bluebirds - on Saturday morning, Oct. 25 - to see 7th ranked LSU play 5th ranked Auburn w/Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley, and Mickey Zofko. LSU won 21-20.

My fanhood was solidified in 2000. LSU beat Bama in Tiger Stadium for something like the first time in 30 years. My Dad, brother, and I were in the last row of Tiger Stadium in the East Upper.
We got season tickets the next year.
(My dad got his Ph.D. from LSU so that was my main affiliation.)

1992 at birth. Parents were both alum. Born in Bama so I was raised to hate bama and auburn growing up. Got into some heated arguments with my friends throughout the years

november 10 2001.
didn't believe my wife that college football was so huge.didn't believe 100,000 people would turn up to watch kids make kid mistakes.
i followed the nfl but didn't know much about college football.i once heard about a orange bowl and thought that was pretty strange when they showed a bowl of oranges.
got of the plane on november 2 after a 52 hour journey and watched us beat bama and went to my first tailgate(never heard that before)on november 10 for the middle tennessee game.
went to the arkansas game the following week and i was hooked.
now i understand college football and the passion for saturdays.though it took me a whole year to understand rankings and who i needed to lose each week and who i needed to win.
we won 6 straight from the time i got here and i still believe i am the reason we won the seccg and sugar bowl.
