I remember the panic and thrill and the clock ticked down before the snap, then the sheer silence it seemed like as the ball was in the air. Then the place erupted after Byrd caught it

Byrd's best catch ever was that one-hander against Tennessee in the SECCG. Caught a dart from Perrilloux. It was great. I just re-watched that game last night.

Words can not describe the the emotional roller coaster I experienced in the last 20 seconds of that game. It was like a combo between having a heart attack and becoming a father for the 1st time. I have yet to experience either of those sensations but when I do I will close my eyes and remember that play.

Anyone got a status update on the Byrd-Man, btw? Last I heard he was cut from the Chargers due to not recovering quickly enough from his car accident.
I'm sure he's trying to get on a team this year, but the lockout makes it impossible for him to sign.
Anybody got any word? Is the man good to go?

That was an amazing catch and a great game. That one catch alone makes me a fan of d-Byrd.
What got lost in that play was that the way that situation was handled was a big time miles frick up. If Byrd doesn't make that catch the clock may have run out and we lose. All we needed their was a fg. I remember being pissed as I sat in TS watching the clock tick away, then overjoyed watching the catch. Then after it was all over a mixture of pissed and happy bc the time it took to get that play going was crazy!!

You can currently catch D Byrd being a bar rat at Fred's, Prop Stop, or any other reputable location where alcohol is served.
