Just not sure why Les and Cam thought that game plan would work.

So after the 10th time the coaching staff figured we should still try to pound it in there eh?

That's an incredible stat. Totally dominated up front.

And if you do that for Harris pass attempts, I guarantee that it will say he was hit or pressured on about 15 of his 19 pass attempts.

We tried no RB screens. Why weren't we figuring another way to get Fournette the ball. Put him in the slot vs a safety or corner or better one of those big linebackers. Don't run at them. The TE really let us down by not blocking the edge

We tried that once and Harris misses. The issue is that Cam/Miles are not patient with the passing game but too patient with the run. Paranoia about picks and too many drives stalling because of dropped passes.

He had 2 receiving targets. Harris just couldn't get him the ball

Because it has worked in every game before?

Oh wait.

It was time to throw out the entire spring practice, pre season practice and all the games this fall and all of the plays and blocking angles that the team has been working on for months and junk it and install an entirely new offense.
No way anything bad would happen with that is there?

Anytime we pulled a guard it seemed Bama was running a stunt with their tackles and blowing shite up deep in the backfield. Surely cam had to see this on film while studying Bama. our guards looked as if they have never seen this before.

Look at the stats from last night. Could it get any worse?

So are you saying that in order to have a different game plan means to totally disregard everything learned since Spring training

Bama knew when we were going to pull and how to react to it. They saw something in our tendencies that maybe our own coaches did not notice. Sometimes teams have to be exposed before they see their own weaknesses and learn from them. OM exposed some weaknesses that forced Bama to re-look at things. I am sure Ohio St. saw some weaknesses that Bama did not even notice when they played last year.

No, it's called:

a) developing a short to intermediate passing game on 3-step drop type plays throughout the season so that we aren't SOL when we go against a very talented front 7 that can bring the heat and inhibit our deep passing game
b) showing a multitude of looks when you run the ball like Kiffin did last night

Because it worked against Eastern Michigan and Western Kentucky.
