In case you hadn't noticed, LSU's defense has come around.

The best part of that article is the paragraph about red zone defense.

LSU has the fourth best red zone defense in the country.

And Alabama has trouble scoring touchdowns.

Makes me think back to the MSU goal line stand and how much it probably helped bring unity to this defense. They play as a team as well as any LSU defense I can remember...they dont have the push up front to compete with the 2003 defense in my opinion, but they are extremely cohesive. The big thing this year is linebacker play is as good as I've ever seen it as LSU.

because there's not enough room for them to make Chad Jones to play 30 yds off the ball?

The linebacker play has really improved throughout the season, and the secondary has been playing well from day 1. The lack of pressure from the D line still bothers me. I hope we get the push we need this week.

It is lights out compared to last year. Miles fixed it and it's still improving. Next up: Offense.

It has been a concern but lessened by the creative blitz packages Chief has used with increasing effectiveness the last two games. He will dial up as many as twenty blitz calls in this weeks game IMO. Also have noticed Nevis and Edwards really getting in the QB's grill the past two games.
