Have not seen any games so have no opinion, but 8-1 is pretty good, right?

Is he pretty intense during the game or more calm, cool, and collected?

Wishing him the best.

weak schedule, out of the two major conference teams they played, they lost one at the buzzer and won one at the buzzer. This roster has a LOT OF HOLES. Miller and KJ are legit starters. After that they have some nice role players but will struggle in some games against top SEC competition. So far the 3 freshman that were highly ranked haven't shown they are ready to be major contributors and that had to happen for LSU to have a shot at being a bubble NCAA team. this is NOT a negative shot at the new coach, he should be fine once he puts a complete roster together. They run some nice set plays and play hard. but they'll have to get more Jimmy's and Joe's before they can compete consistently at a high level

Last night was the first game I caught beginning to end. They didn't stop fighting even when they were down big. Miller was cold from the floor but played good d. Williams was phenomenal. He's got them at 8-1 his first year. Should have some success in SEC play

I like him. He doesn't have the force of personality or charisma of WW, but my perception is that he has a way of bonding with players and gaining their trust that bodes well for the future.

They have put out a couple of stinkers against some poor competition but was able to pull out those games and I think that's part of integrating a lot of new players to his system.

I think we were picked 8th in the conference, and I think that's probably about where the overall talent level is, which with what he came into I think is commendable that he was able to do.

I think his in-game coaching is much better than CWW. Also he is very composed during the game, you won't see too many technicals from him for yelling at the refs.

3yr plan. He’s going to build teams differently than Wade. Tho I don’t think Wade’s team was set up to be that good this year anyway

Do they shoot free throws at practice? Can't give away free points.

We’d have been a typical Wade team i think. Lots of talent but not necessarily cohesive. 6-8 seed.

This year’s team probably goes as far as Ace, KJ and Juice go. Need a couple freshmen to come on.

From what I've seen to this point I believe Cam Hays needs more PT and if it's at Juice's expense I'm o.k. with that. I think through 9 games he's been more productive of the two. That could change of course but only going by what I've seen to this point.

this, I think both us as fans and McMahon probably expected a bit more from them to this point - but they are freshmen so...

I like McMahon and he has a great track record so far so im optimistic on the program. Wade was such a fiery likable guy when he’s on your team it’s going to take the fanbase some time to come around to McMahon.

This year I’m expecting a top 10 SEC finish and an NIT invite. The Portal should have us back to competing again within the next two seasons IMO

Yea i wasn’t too high on Hayes but he’s been a surprise. Still think we have a player in Williams too. He’s still probably the youngest sophomore in the country and has never really been healthy. Flashed in the second half yesterday. Could be a good piece for this team.

Yeah im not giving up on justice becoming a good player either. Last year was basically a redshirt for him as far as im concerned. And this year he just hasnt stayed healthy. I look forward to he and hayes providing us good depth at the guard position. We really need just a little more help down low

I do think mcmahon is a superior x’s and o’s coach to wade. Just hope he can bring in some better recruits closer to the level wade did

As others have pointed out the freshman have to play quicker this day and should if we were watching a Cal or Petino coached team. I have no idea why ours are not competing.

Rebounding and Free throw shooting are 2 areas of improvement. Both are fixable. At times you see a lot of quick shots, which may be the plan but the continuity on offense is what I believe McMahon is wanting and that takes time to develop that chemistry. That’s why others have said it is a 3 year plan - which im ok with as long as they consistently improve.

You can tell that he is into the games but obviously not as animated as Wade. Early in this season we have been using the weaker opponents to try to work some of the players into the game and letting KJ defer. Miller, Hayes, and Fountain have responded pretty well and should be solid in the rotation. JWill might be able to push for playing time as well.

Obviously KJ can take over when needed and he is a helluva force.

I think Reed and Ward will develop, but may not contribute as much this season as we hoped. Reed has shown signs and is the most talented. I wasn't expecting much from Phillips, but he looked more serviceable in the few minutes I have seen than expected. It is good to see him animated and really cheering on his teammates, so I guess his playing time is expected so far.

We beat a decent team at a neutral site even though our best player scored 3 points. It's all about how you choose to see it and what you choose to take from what you saw.

KJ Williams is our best player.
