I think the same thing. I would feel a lot better knowing Les is capable of 14-0 and a non-miracle NC.. What I would give to change the outcome of that game

Agree. If we are sitting on 3 Crystals things are different.

That whole debacle just makes things worse.

Agree...but why do we keep living in the past. That game was so painful I try to eliminate it from my memory but the rant keeps bringing it up.

Obviously. But once our "crazy uncle" had accidental diarrhea all over the field...how can we ever trust his bowels again???

Until we get another one this loss will haunt Miles. I feel some fans will never appreciate him until he gets another one.

Is it fair? No, he wins a lot of games. Just the way it is though considering who owned him in the game.

Of course it would be different. Les and LSU would have owned Saban and Alabama twice in one year, and it would have been glorious. But instead we decided to have the worst performance ever and worst coaching performance ever in the worst possible situation on the biggest stage. It was a disaster of epic proportions for LSU and something I am not sure this fanbase will recover from for a long time.

Yeah. It would completely change the psychology of the fan base.

It wasn't just losing the National Championship it was the combination of:

1. The ruining of such an epic 2011. One of the best CFB seasons in history.

2. The coach we lost to. It was our fears realized 10 fold. Saban vs Miles. Never would we imagine we'd be up against our old coach, in the BCSCG.

3. It was winning the first #1 vs #2 in the season AT #2 and being rewarded with a mulligan. (not to mention beating the Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl Champs, and a #1 vs #3 matchup).

So yes....1.9.2012 pretty much fricked the psyche of every LSU fan.

Well said. That is a day that will be talked about for years when discussing LSU.

ETA: The fourth factor was how horrible we played. It was a disgustingly pathetic performance on such an incredible year.
