wouldn't the classy thing be to announce ahead of time so the winningest coach in LSU history could be given a proper Tiger Stadium send off? After all, he brought us only the third title in Tiger history and a whole shitload of winning, and was an incredibly good person to boot.

And carry him off the field after victory.

That decision is only half of the equation. They need to make sure they're at least reasonably confident that they have the replacement locked in first.

I personally think they should give him a proper send off. I think that would help heel the black eye the media gave this program.

This doesn't exist in Joe Alleva's world. For that matter, this doesn't exist in an LSU football head coaching change world - not in collective memory.

this is another reason i say it's been a shite show. I dont know what has been told the team, but if this was leaked by the AD and brass before getting the team together, they basically sabotaged the rest of the season. That doesnt sit well with me at all. hopefully some of the "insiders" can give us a run down and clear things up when it's all done and dusted.

He might not want the attention seriously.

No op, the proper thing to do is let Miles decide how he wants to tell his team and the fanbase. Miles has decided to let the team focus on the game and not spend this week watching the Miles legacy tour.

The proper thing to do is to let Miles say goodbye in the manner he chooses...you may be pleasantly surprised how this ends.

Mac did, too - but that was the players themselves - had nothing to do with our administration or our so-called "fans".

Yeah, at least one reporter said it was planted by Alleva. Then you basically have someone else quoting Anderson saying even winning may not matter.

So how am I wrong?

It will all get cleared up hopefully.

If youre in the stadium, just treat it as his sendoff. I likely will be. There's no going back to normal from where it's at now. Somebody screwed the pooch huge on this thing.

Joe broke it to Cullota and Rabalais. That's a fact, believe it.
