The vast majority of SEC schools are pretty far east relatively speaking. LSU and Arkie are western outliers. Do a sum of driving distances from the schools to New Orleans and Atlanta. You would be surprised.


And another point that bears meationing is that the SEC championship is contractually locked in the Georgia Dome for another 25 years.

Jerry Jones would have to cut a fat check to get Atlanta to even THINK about letting the SEC out of it even if they wanted to move it.

Get rid of neutral site game. Traditionally in years past, the best conference record was the SEC champ, so let the best record host the SEC title game. That way we increase the chance of the best team in the SEC winning the official title and more importantly get to the BCS title game. Plus no more whining about where to host it. ATL is contracted through 2017 not 25 years
