Why there would be ANY reason (eta: NOT) to move the SEC Championship game to Jerry Dome. As much as I hate the Cowboys and the Jerry Jones mentality, I have to admit that stadium was the most amazing sports venue I have ever seen. It makes the Georgia Dome look like Tad Gormley sadium (New Orleans reference). At least do an every other year thing, but that stadium is built for Championships.

I vote for this. Closer to Houston and Baton Rouge too.

Make Jerry World SEC West Home (Texas AM, Arkansas, LSU) and make the Georgia Dome SEC East Home and rotate it on whatever schedule you can come up with. Keeps everyone happy. It will never happen, but it's a logical solution

i think you mean "don't see any reason NOT to move"

but i'll give you one, it's outside the borders of the SEC. if the SEC added TCU as its 14th team then maybe, but i don't see the SEC going in this direction. i'm all for it, but don't see it.

The SECCG shouldn't be held in Atlanta every year. I'd love to see JerryWorld added to the rotation. Reliant Stadium wouldn't be a bad choice, either.

Hell, what about the Super Dome?

NO! NO! NO! the sec stands of SOUTHEASTERN conference. leave the game in Atlanta, the capital of the southeast. next thing you know, texas a&m will try to emulate tu and run the conference.

In addition to Atlanta NOT being East-West neutral, UGA, UF, USC all finish their schedules with nonconference games allowing an extra week for SEC-CG planning. Most years this makes the SEC-CG a defacto homegame for the East. I'm not a permanent Atlanta SEC-CG fan. Need some sort of East-West location rotation.

I'd be in favor of alternating Atlanta and New Orleans, or maybe Houston as an earlier poster suggested. Jerry World is cool too though.....

It would be awesome if it was rotated between Atlanta, New Orleans and Houston. Atl is the most centrally located major city in relation to all of the SEC schools. Sure its a UGA home game but if the start moving it then UF will want Orlando, Bama will want Birmingham, Tn will want Nashville. Leave well enough alone. Ga Dome is Tiger Stadium East.

To say that UGA v. GT, UF v. FSU, and USCe v Clemson are like a bye week because they are non-conference is pretty dishonest Also, Auburn is almost as near Atlanta as UGA.

Houston and New Orleans are second tier Airports, so it is difficult for many people to get direct flights. Dallas and Atlanta do not have this problem.

I think he is saying that the east champion is already decided, and they snatch up all the tickets. Meanwhile LSU is playing Arkansas, and Auburn is playing Alabama...and the West is usually undecided at that point.

I always thought Houston was a hub airport like Atlanta.
