Mike Leach would NEVER happen and Charlie Weiss is not a good college coach! I disagree. Id love Gruden, but his happy on TV!

Jimbo would probably be the first call depending on how he is doing at the time.

Muschamp if he seems to not be happy at UF.

Charlie Strong if he keeps things going at UL. If he has much more success one of the big boys is going to snatch him up post haste.

Dream coach (if Miles left)

David Shaw. I think he'd be great here. But I don't see him ever wanting to leave Stanford.

I've always thought that Jon Gruden should get back into coaching, and I definitely would be excited if Gruden were to coach the Tigers. He knows how to get a team fired up, and has had proven success at the pro level.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pat Hill on the sidelines. June Jones is a class act, and one hell of a coach but that's about it.

Hmm...is Sean Payton asking too much?

I have mentioned him in earlier years as a possibility.....he's 61, which doesn't bother me but might worry others.

Charlie Strong, another coach I like, will turn 53 tomorrow.

Strong would be good.

I would not want Jimbo. He disappoints.

Why does Gruden ever even come up? He's an nfl guy if he ever coaches again. Does he have a connection to LSU?

None of those have beaten Miles, none of those coaches have reached the BCSCG, and NO ONE in the SEC or BCS have done better than Miles in winning games in the last eight years.

Go away troll boy.

Love Miles, but in your scenario

Art Briles, Jimbo Fischer, Charlie Strong, James Franklin, Mike D'Antoni, Chris Peterson, and Gary Patterson

Should all be considered.

Only knock on Briles is defense, but he doesn't get the speed and talent that the "big boys" get on that side of the ball. He's an overachiever.
