I think you would expect no more than two people currently on staff to remain (not including S&C).

If I were ranking them in order of likelihood of being retained, I'd do it like this:

Aranda
Raymond
Juluke
=============================
longshots line of demarcation
=============================
Ensminger
Grimes
Craig
BDP
O

The new coach will likely clean house and install his own people in those positions. A scenario the anti coach O people aren't thinking about. This is why I've repeatedly said that he might just be the right man at the right time.

Very seldom ... no more than two or so survive.

At absolute most. I'm wondering how many people on the rant have ever seen an actual coaching change or are just delusional. "Hey come to L.S.U., you don't get to pick your coordinators bc we want you to keep all of the ones from the staff we fired mid-season.. but this is a top job" Get a grip guys, if we get a new coach you want him to bring in his people.

understandable, and under the current rules, I couldn't disagree that this should be on the Coaches Change board, but let's be honest, no one reads that shite. This is the Tiger Rant and we have a coaching vacancy, it is absurd to try to weed out and censor coaching change talk on a board discussing LSU football while we have a coaching vacancy.

Since "the word" is that LSU is looking hire an offensive minded HC, I'd think the new guy would, at least, give some serious consideration to keeping Aranda. Everybody else is pretty much a wild guess.
Imagine the melt if the only guy he kept was BDP.

Hopefully any coach LSU would consider/hire would be given carte blanch authority on his staff.

I'm not sure Aranda stays in BR after this season regardless of who's hired as HC. Best chance to retain him is hire Orgeron as HC.

I hope I'm wrong, but he's going to be courted by anyone and everyone looking to hire a DC and the potential uncertainty at LSU could cause him to scoot.

Possible scenario.... Notre Dame fires Kelly, hires Miles... Miles hires Aranda at ND.... don't laugh, it could easily happen.

Scenario 2... Texas hires Herman... he raids LSU and takes Aranda to UT.... imagine what a team with a good defense in the Big 12 could accomplish.

Delusional thinking is that LSU hires anyone but O and keeps the current staff...ain't going to happen. One of tge reasons a coaching change is risky business... there are a lot more moving parts than the guy with the HC title.

He signed a 3 year deal and made sure the "Miles Clause" wasn't included. He knew Miles might get the boot. Only way Aranda leaves next year is if a new coach sends him packing.

The next coach can keep and would keep who he thinks is best for the job. Aranda would stay no doubt about it. No one better at his job and why wouldn't he keep one of the best DCs in the country? Lol getting rid of him would be a very bad first impression of him from many people.

The new coach would never send Aranda packing. Think about that for a second lol. Let's see I'm a coach and know I have the best DC in the country where I'm going but I'll just get rid of him anyway ha ha ha ha... Everyone else would be up for grabs though. I would keep Orgeron, Aranda, and Raymond though. Orgeron and Aranda wouldn't be going anywhere unless they wanted to go.

A new coach would want to bring in his own staff. Most of our current staff would be gone. Unfortunately a major staff turnover would probably kill our recruiting class.

You are totally missing the point... Les Miles hired Aranda... Les is gone and intends to coach again. He would try to get 'his guy'.

The new HC will WANT to keep Aranda, no doubt, I tend to agree...but if I'm one of the best DC'S around, I'm going to pick who I work with/for...not have it forced on me.

You're being a blind, dumb jackass if you can't see that.

Period. End of discussion.
