Tyrann made a huge impact on his first career game, which makes me almost want to pick him, but I've gotta go with JV as well. He and Broussard were so nasty from the South Carolina game on.

If he signs with us, I hope he's the next amari cooper.

He'll almost have to be we are so thin at WR.

Not sure. Have to see how the others guys are at spring to be realistic in even thinking this way. Starting spots are up for grabs though.

It takes a spectacularly talented player in the right situation to play early. WR is typically not one of them. The complexities of route running and more importantly, blocking ability are often not present with incoming freshman.

Tell that to Amari Cooper and Laquan Treadwell.

ETA: And our own OBJ too

Yeahhhh also shut down Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans. Something most teams couldn't do.

And for the record, Dupre will be on the field game one in the 3rd WR spot.

I see a few people sleeping on/forgetting about Diarse. All I can say is watch out bc he's gonna be a stud. He's not a burner but you get the football in his hands and he make am things happen. Of courses I talk to him weekly so I'm a little biased.

i think quinn has a better chance to play earlier than dupre. played in a offense that will translate to college. chi played in a veer offense mainly ran flys and posts

We have no idea whether Dupre would start - he hasnt played a single down against major college competition. Let's hope he signs and then we'll see how good he really is. None of these recruits are dead set locks to be studs, theyre just recruits that we hope will become great players, but its way too early to tell.

Treadwell was the #1 WR in USA playing on a team w mediocre receivers. Cooper was called the most talented freshman Saban had at Bama since Julio Jones. We know what that means.

OBJ played against Oregon bc Shepard was unable to play. Also, he was an all american and led the SEC in all purpose yards as a junior- right?

Randle made plays for us but only a few as a true freshman.

What about Green-Beckham the 5 star #1 who previously had all the records? He didn't do anything of note his freshman year.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's more unlikely unless the player is in the right situation and is amazingly good. Dupre is the #1, but it's not easy to start for a team like LSU as a freshman.
