Thank you to all the realist and unbiased posters to step into this thread and talk sense to some of these posters.

And I don't specifically recall what Urban Meyer did or didn't do in the OSU-Mich State game
I wasnt trying to get anything to stick against Meyer. Let me refresh your memory. Ohio st was almost a preseason unanimous pick to repeat with almost everyone back from the team that had ddstroyed the field and the aranda defense the previous yr.
A team full of nfl 2016 draft picks, 1st string QB and at home.
Mich st completely shut them down on the road with far lesder talent. Alabama beat that team 38-0 with a month to prepare.
The point wasnt to be critical of Meyer, it was in defense of Miles.
It was just an example of a great program with a top coach, and with a super talented team not winning the Big 3.
Its time to move on from the time mgt issues, lack of game planning and being able to make ingame adjustments.
If people would watch other good programs play and compare LSU fairly they would see this and realize they are well coached.
But its cool to say Miles is an idiot and heis the problem.
They believe there are a dozen coaches that LSU can get that would win more than Miles at LSU. But never name them.
Heres one for u. Miles loses starting QB for 1st half of season and right before #2 Oregon. He adjusts on the fly and goes 12-0 with a SEC title.

SPOT ON.
The problem is posters dont pay attention to other programs. The other day i used the clock management issue as an example. Every single program has clock management issues.hell weve seen bill Belichick have horrible clock management issues.

Brandon Harris struggles because Miles is one dimensional.

Why concentrate on negative possibilities? It simply feeds defeatism.

If Harris struggles you keep him in there. But I doubt he struggles. He goes against a better defense than Wisconsin everyday at practice.

If this were the case then we wouldve never had decent qb play under Miles.
Miles has proven that when the qb is ready, he will throw the ball.

Just go wallow in your misery by your lonesome self and quit spreading it here. That shite gets contagious.
If I thought like that I would not even watch the game.

Miles & One Dimensional in the same sentence? Surely you can't be serious!

What?
When you can run the ball as well as LSU that creates 1 on 1 coverage for the QB and opens up all kinds of passing opportunities. Makes the job much easier.Lets blame Miles for Jennings and Harris and give credit elswehere for Russell, Flynn and Mettenberger. Thats seems like the fair thing to do. Lets just remember the last 2 yrs and forget everythng else. I just rewatched several classic games recently and LSU threw the football when they had a capable QB.

Yes, let's give Miles credit for two of Saban's recruits and one transfer.
How many freshman QBs has he brought in and developed into effective upperclassmen?

Russell and Flynn were Saban's recruits but they were coached by Miles for 2+ seasons and Mett was recruited by Les and played for Les for 3 seasons so yes he should get some credit for all three of those guys.
I would say that he made Jarret Lee/Jordan Jefferson into effective enough QB's. They weren't great but they were plenty effective enough by their senior seasons.

You don't think that 2 guys that led the team to an SEC championship and NC game apearance and beat Bama twice as upperclassmen were effective? You didn't say All American, All-SEC, great or even good. You said effective and they were effective enough.

I never said he was doing the job at recruiting QBs?
Both him and Cam have been poor at this.
But when u have Jennings and last years Harris and the best RB in the game, youve got to do what gives u the best chance to win.
Going what shouldve been 10-3 in the west with an avg defense, OL and poor QB was good coaching. There are very few in the history of the sport that wouldve done any better. Hes not a one dimensional coach and its a damn joke that people want to categorize him as this. Hes a winning coach and rarely loses unless the other team is very talented and have superior QB play.

My OP was saying IF he's unsuccessful vs Wisconsin, will Miles become one dimensional and doom our season?
He is one dimensional and its because he can't deevelop a QB without Saban or a JUCO's help.
He puts himself into a corner.

" we all know from experience that Miles will not throw much the rest of the year"
You must've not been an LSU fan in 2012 when we struggled mightily throwing the ball effectively for almost the whole month of October only to throw it more the whole month of November.
We all know what happened in 2013. Seems to me that Miles throws the ball when we can do so effectively and efficiently and then when we can't, we don't throw the ball so much.
