I never refer to pre-season accolades. They are popularity contests.
Post-season accolades are indicative of how they performed. . .usually.

Lee had a chance to earn the start all spring and falk. He couldn't. He didn't deserve anything until he got the start by default.
I don't remember there being an OPEN competition for the QB position after last season, even though there certainly should have been. JJ was penciled in as the starter from the get-go and nothing short of a felony arrest was going to change Miles' mind on that.

I am anxious to see what Lee can do.
I think He can be very good. He can also be very bad.
He has all the tools. What has always failed him is between his ears. If he got that fixed, he could be a Rohan Davey. If he didn't, he is Wade Richey.
I am praying he worked out the kinks.

I'm with you. For better or worse I'm glad the JJ era is over

You would be happy with a performance worse than JJ in '10, as long as it is someone other than JJ?
That just baffles me.

JJ'a season last year was historically bad, I don't anticipate a worse season

oh trust me you know what it is.

If JL does worse, how can you justify supporting him?

just looking for some change
good or bad, just something different

without any real sense of excitement for this coming season because I knew that we would have to put up with Jefferson's 8-20 for 95 yards over and over again
AMEN!!! We may not win it all or even the SEC but I will at least look forward tot he games. Jefferson's style of play is just not fun to watch. I think we'll attack more now with Lee and he'll have a chance to actually throw on running downs instead of just being put in to try to convert a 3rd and 14 when everyone knows a pass is coming.

Yeah, he had a real shot of winning the job over Miles' boy

anyone who says they are willing to live or die with jl then its dying time. no way we have a better record than last year with jl as starter.
some of you assholes just hate jj and no you want to take down LSU (rather live or die with jl) just to get rid of jj
pathetic! who do you guys work for? alleva or brpd.

So if we go 8-4 its ok as long its with a different QB thats not JJ.
sounds reasonable

I hate watching JJ play QB. I don't personally hate him. His ceiling is very low. even on his best day he's not very good and we have to win with dominant defense, turnovers and big special teams plays. He leaves too many plays on the field. I've had enough of him to be honest. As a QB. I wish him the best in life.
Lee may not be the answer, but whether its Lee or Mettenberger, I'm ready to see a different style.

Just look at a couple ofgames last year that had no business being close at all. WE absolutely dominated Tennessee and West Virginia and won both games by a combined 7 points. AT HOME! When we physically dominated both teams all day long. JJ and Crowton were the biggest reasons. I'm sick of it. We held down Auburn on the road very well and could only score 17 points and 7 were on a trick play. We need big time improvement.

With this schedule we could have a better overall team/offense and still lose 1-2 more games than last season
