and the hell of it is you have never seen him at QB for even one friggin' play. yet he's "clearly" the best.

sometimes the most amazing things are written on this board.

some of our fans know it all. no matter they have never attended even on practice, know nothing about our players and basically don't know shite about football.

Les loves running QBs. Like Russel, JLee, and Mett.

oh how quickly people forget the summer reports that he couldnt field a snap, had extremely terrible accuracy down the field and threw a ton of INTs

im not saying hell never develop into a good QB down the road, but to think he wouldve been some sort of savior for the team at QB this year is a joke.

In general, yes, we've struggled to recruit and develop QB's
ok, this has now reached meme/myth status. jamarcus Russell, perilloux, matt Flynn, Brandon harris, Jarrett lee had some great moments. Jennings still has a chance to be quite good.

zero chance Les would give him a legit shot. Les wants a running QB. Only when it was absolutely evident that Mett had to be the guy would he do otherwise. Hayden did the right thing to bolt when he did. I say this as a fact, not as a preference. If he were here, clearly he would be a better option.

I specifically said we shouldn't throw in the towel on Jennings or Harris, especially since they'll be under Cam's guidance from day 1. And FWIW I was referring to our general QB deficiencies that we've had under Les. 2005, 2006, 2007 (none recruited by Les, unless you want to count RP's one start) and 2013 were really the only years our QB play was respectable or better. And Jarrett Lee... that's a bit of a stretch, man.

Would you say that Les was disappointed to see him go? Do you think that Les even tried to keep him?

Said something like the coaches wanted to go in a different direction with the QB position, referring to mobile QBs.
Just like we have been saying and many other "Realists" on this board, around BR, the SELA area, the rest of the State and in Tiger Stadium.

Bottom Line: Rettig (And Rivers) were run out of town because they couldn't run fast enough. Now our passing game will be "JJ style Dysfunctional" for years to come, unless Brandon Harris shows he's the second coming of Jameis Winston in Spring and Fall 2015.

Run Anthony Run. Run for Les. Run for Les.

Hey look, Quinn is open again, but stare down Dural then run if he's not open.

Harris has the tools to legitimately be a big time QB. Of the many deficiencies Jennings has displayed, the only one that COULD be developed is checking down to secondary receivers. IF he ever realizes there are guys not named Dural running out there who are eligible. The arm strength and pocket awareness seem to be a have it or don't trait, and he don't.

Agreed. Some say he likes dual-threat QBs but I don't think so.

If he could run 100% of the time...he would.

This. We are so in love with backup qbs we lament the loss of transfers to fricking rutgers.

This kid was out if his element at LSU. Good luck to him.

he was playing really well up to the bama game. so good in fact that half the fan base was incensed to see jj again.

my point was you parroted the new meme that miles sucks with qb's and it's just not true.

Zero regret. He didn't want to leave. He was pushed out by our incompetent head coach

lost les probably gave him some of that dumb arse les speak. "you are a quality young man with a quality future but your not of the quality we are looking for.

I would honestly hope that if Rettig was better than Jennings and Harris the coaches would have schemed the offense around him. I would think Les wouldn't let his best QB transfer because he isn't a running QB. I will be interested to see how he does at Rutgers.

then you didn't look good because I listed several qb's who were quite good. Explain how miles has had several good qb's yet he's bad at recruiting and coaching qb's
