I had a Warren Capone "jersey" as a kid. I wore #55 all the way through high school.

So you want us to put all our white guys on the field at one time?

So, it is your opinion that LSU's offense had been too complicated?
Complicated plays are ok provided they are well executed. Otherwise, they fool no one and you waste a down. Florida, during the UM/TT days, were the best at executing plays, IMHO.

Can anyone explain to me why the field was painted like a neutral site game?

I think just completing two passes in a row would be a huge step for us at this point.

Double moves aren't wizardry to cornerbacks anymore.

Maybe not, but even the most elite corners get beat by them every year (Beckham vs Sherman as an example).

Not sure but I know back in that era South EZ was usually painted with visitors letters. Don't ever recall seeing that midfield blocks color scheme before.

Also, was one of the 1st I believe night time national broadcasts that maybe ABC requested more neutral field trims since it was ND and Ara P.

I remember this so well was like yesterday and I am a HS Soph again!

It wasn't just this game, I remember the huge UA and UM in the South end zones. It stopped around 75-76.

We need to only run plays that end up with a touchdown.

The 1969 LSU-Auburn game (my first game as a small tiger) had the painted end zones - an orange SEZ with blue 'A U' block letters.
The first national network night telecast from DV I know of was Dec 5 1970 with Chris Schenkel and Lee Grosscup on ABC. LSU annihilited Ole Miss and a cast-bound Archie to win our first SECC since '62 by score of 61-17. We then lost to #1 Nebraska 17-12 in the Orange.
12 years later, as a Soph at LSU, I witnessed another massacre - 55-21 over FSU to clinch another Orange bid vs Nebraska in Jan '83.
