I hope he changes, but I fear these WR's are going to see how they are unused and will shy away from LSU.

We called over 30 passes last night. Quit making stuff up.

I'd rather they play poorly vs Auburn than play poorly vs Alabama. Remember, this was a lot of the new starters' first road game. They'll be better

Good post

I think the swamp will be a tougher road test. Team is better than Auburn and the swamp is a crazy place.

what the frick is "dopping"????

i think the word you are looking for is "doping", as in gaining an advantage due to performance enhancing "dope" or drugs….

Adrenaline is serious advantage

so big an advantage that the HOME team with all their adrenaline "amped" to the rafters still LOST the game…

what the frick are you talking about old man????

At the game--agree with OP
On the road in the future we need to get the crowd out of it early.

Yes I had to turn down my TV because the crowd was so loud. And I wasn't even watching the game.

Excellent post and very accurate

I was in the endzone that the WarEagles ran toward at the end of the third quarter. It was the loudest I have ever heard a stadium. I also noticed Logan straight stalking around the 50 while this was going on. I thought, I hope this pisses Logan and the boys off......apparently it did by the defense's response. That's what champions do.....RESPOND!

On another important note not previously mentioned in this thread, I was sitting next to 2 AU fans (friends of mine, on most days, ha ha.) They both religiously keep up with AU recruiting, depth charts, who's reshirting, who's not, etc. AU was truly pulling out all the stops... #12 at wildcat qb, burned redshirt Sat night, and several other highly regarded true and redshirt freshmen on the defensive side of the ball, who were low on the depth chart, despite having talent and despite having no previous playing time outside of their A-Day spring game, were used in this game significantly. It's cliche, but in this case there is a lot of truth to it....this was NOT the same Auburn Tigers from their previous 3 games on many levels. (Not sure of the numbers/names of the defensive players, maybe a WarEagle from the SECRant can help me out with that or elaborate.)

I don't see how people can't see that we were dominating auburn before mett's fumble. If he throws that away, we route them

I agree, it felt like the route was on, then the sack/fumble. That was the turning point IMO.

You're saying Mett should have thrown it away. He would have had to get outside the tackle box to do so and I don't know if he had time for that, but I think there are a number of things he could have done. From the TV angle I wasn't able to see what he was seeing on the left side of the field, but I thought he could have hit Landry on the right sideline. He also could have just gone down when he saw Lemonier bearing down on him instead of taking the hit.

It's obvious at this point that Mett doesn't have the best pocket presence and feel for where the pressure is coming from. That's a concern, but it should improve with experience.

With that said, we can't absolve Dworaczyk from his responsibility. He barely impeded Lemonier. And this happen against Idaho as well! 21-14 with about 4 minutes left before halftime and JD gave up a sack/fumble attempting to block Benson Mayowa. How the coaches could not see this coming is beyond me.

Having Dworaczyk protecting Mett's blind side is a recipe for disaster. JD has never shown anything in his LSU career that would make you feel comfortable about him playing left tackle. With Towson next, we should be using the next two weeks to figure out an alternate plan.

BTW, great explanation of the atmosphere at the game by the OP.

great post.........college football at its finest....to follow the scoreboard for the game, you'd have thought auburn was unbeatable, the tigers pathetic and miles an idiot. i don't get espn at home..........what a waste of time THAT would be. but saw the replay in my hotel room last night and was pleasantly surprised. auburn on the road is ALWAYS a dog fight !
